Kraken Campfire, Later Tuesday Night

Rikku hoped it wasn't too dark that people wouldn't be able to see that she now had purple hair.

Aly was on her short list of Favorite Teachers Ever.

She hoped the Kraken bathroom had recovered from any possible dye-related mishaps.

Rikku sat in front of the campfire, bouncing to herself. Ready to chat the ear off anybody and everybody who dropped by.

Valentine would have squinted to be sure, if he could. "Oh, I'm just-- faces here all look alike to me. I was starting to tell everyone apart using hair. Yours was pretty easy to pick out, Rikku."

"Oh! I never even thought of that. I'm so sorry!" She frowned a little. "It's still easy to pick out, just all the way around the color wheel, I guess. I didn't mean to mess with you. How are you, by the way?"

"Well, now that I know your head is purple, I'll be able to pick you out even more easily. And as for myself-- I've been writing. Thoughtfully." Valentine indicated his very empty page. "I'm thinking my address to Kraken will probably consist of something tacked to the door stating that I've made a completely legal invasion of the free alcove and will be reachable for further comment only of there's cake involved."

"You will. I'll let you know when it's blonde again, if you want a heads-up." Rikku smiled. "And maybe you just say 'hi, I'm Valentine, it's nice to meet all of you.'"

"A heads-up would be fantastic," Valentine agreed, relaxing somewhat as she gave him the offer. "And you figure it would be so simple? Just a 'Hey how are you doing,' and that's all?"

"Awesome! I don't know when I'm gonna go blonde again, it's supposed to just wash out or whatever. But you'll be the first I tell." And she smiled. "Yeah, I do, really. They're nice people. Just 'hey, I'm Valentine, new in the cabin, taking the empty spot, it's nice to meet you, I promise I don't snore.' It'll be okay."

Valentine was pretty certain he didn't snore, at least. It was hard to listen for it while he was asleep.
"Well, of course it will be okay," he echoed, becoming a little more certain that it was the truth. "It's just a place to spend the night, anyhow."

"It's a cabin, and we've got an empty spot, and they're all really nice. No one's gonna mind. Just put a note up and say hi. You don't have to tell them anything. Just that you're here now and that's why you're in the living room and bathroom and all that and not just the campfire now and then." She nodded encouragingly. "It'll be okay, you know?"

Valentine couldn't help but smirk at that. "I'm sure none of them want to send me back to that cabin that gives me hives, anyhow," he said, mostly jokingly.

"Itchy welts. Awful ones. I've never seen ones that bad. Can't believe you could be allergic to ... does anyone in Cthulhu even have a pet?" She grinned.

Valentine paused to consider for a moment.
"No, but I think one of my former cabin mates could pass as one?"

It was offical, then. Valentine was fake-allergic to Muppets.
Oh, the irony.

"... Is that Animal? I kinda thought he was somebody's pet. He called me Wo-man. So, I mean, at least he can ... talk?!"

Fandom could still make her head hurt.

"I haven't really met him, to be honest," Valentine confessed. "So perhaps he... causes hives... at distances."
Valentine was pretty certain that he shouldn't be blaming other students for his imaginary hives.
Well, there was one other student that he wouldn't have a problem blaming for any potential health issues he ever suffered again for the remainder of his life.
Fortunately for Animal, he wasn't that student.

Rikku laughed. "You could say he sheds. He has to, I'd think."

Valentine took a moment to ponder this idea.
"Very well. If anyone asks, I had a cabinmate who sheds. Horrible huge itchy bleedy hives were the result. Fortunately, nobody in Kraken is a shedder."
