Kraken Campfire, Later Tuesday Night

Rikku hoped it wasn't too dark that people wouldn't be able to see that she now had purple hair.

Aly was on her short list of Favorite Teachers Ever.

She hoped the Kraken bathroom had recovered from any possible dye-related mishaps.

Rikku sat in front of the campfire, bouncing to herself. Ready to chat the ear off anybody and everybody who dropped by.

"Go ninja, go ninja RRRap!" Mikey had a walkman and he was strutting his stuff as he made his way toward the campfire. Oooh, people! "Go! Go! Go! Go!"

Rikku bounced up. "Mikey!" And pointed to herself. "Hair!" And waved. "Hi!"

"Rikku!" Mikey bounced, and then pointed to her as well. "Hair! Bodacious shade of violet, dudette!" And then he waved back. "Hi!"

"Thank you very much!" She bounced around a little. "One of my teachers got it for me! I almost went orange but I thought it might look funny with my hair already being yellowy and all. But still! How are you!? You didn't get sick from detention, did you?"

Mikey laughed and shook his head. "You should totally try orange anyhow, dudette. Might look natural or something? And even if it doesn't... Orange is, like, the best color out there anyhow." He clicked off his walkman and bounced in place. "I'm totally cool, honest. And not in the 'oh wow that's a lot of fake snow' sense, like from detention. I'm a pretty tough turtle."

Rikku laughed. "I still have the orange. I'll give it a whirl sometime, too. I've got blue and red and green, too. I can just kinda have a rainbow head going for a while."

She nodded. "Glad you're okay, then. I didn't know they'd make us freeze. Detention is usually way more fun than that."

"Your brother said you're a skater, dude? Did he mean just, like, y'know, that you act like one, or do you board?" She bounced a little.

"Dude! Magic word!" Mikey bounced a little more. "I'm totally a skater dude, dudette! I brought my board with me, but I haven't had a chance to do any hardcore sewer surfing yet."

"Sewer surfing?!" Rikku giggled. "Oh, MAN! I'm only just learning, Jude brought along an extra board of his so we could skate on some of the weirder stuff, like the ruins in Zanarkand and this unbelieveable sphere path in Macalania Woods that's totally made out of starlight and it goes up through the trees and everything! And you totally need to talk to Jude then about good places to skate here, 'cause whoa, he's awesome at it. He can do all kindsa stuff I don't know the names of, but they look way cool."

"Duuuude, really? I totally met him a couple of times already, man. Jude-dude looks like a prety awesome guy, I'll have to go boarding with him sometime." Mikey? Still bouncing. Lots.

Rikku laughed, blushing a little. "He's way awesome. He's in this cabin, too, if you ever wanna drop by and pester him. Where are you?"

"Curupoopoodle!" What? "Or, uh, however it's said." Mikey looked perhaps a little sheepish.

Rikku stared for a second. "Curupoopoodle!? Okay, I hadn't heard of that one. Whoa, this place is weird."

"I think maybe it could be Kerpooi, too? Or Pikachu." Mikey was wracking his brain, trying to rmember how to pronounce the name. "This place is totally weird, though, I agree."

"Okay. Uh. I'll tell Jude you're in ... Kerpooeyrupu ... uh ... maybe you should come visit him here instead. Kraken. Easier to pronounce."

Then she realized she was being kinda dumb. "Which one is it, like, from here? Over on the other side? Bottom row? I mean, if you can find it, it doesn't matter what it's called. Right?"

"Um," Mikey blinked and picked a direction and pointed. "It's that one that you get to if you walk clear through the walls here and the main campfire and keep going straight," he decided.
Which was, miraculously, right. "Right next to sphinx!"

"Little Bro Dude!" Bridge waves.

"Big Bro Dude!" Mikey waved right back. "We totally have to do pizza or something sometime, man! We can, like, expreiment with flavors! Buttery-" fingerwiggle, "toast pizza! How awesome would that be?"

"Dude, that'd be *brilliant*!" Bridge bounces. "We should so do that."

Mikey grinned and bounced some more. "Duuuuude. So, where's a good place to cook a pizza around here, then? Because campfire pizza is so not cool, I'll tell you. Makes a good frisbee. That's about it, man."

"Dude, I've totally got a Synthetron in my room at the dorms. Which... isn't cooking, exactly, it's more pressing buttons and getting exactly what you specified, but it tastes pretty good. Better than cafeteria food."

"Dude, I totally don't know what that is, but it sounds like something my bro would make," Mikey decided with a grin. "I've gotta give it a try, sometime, Bro Dude!"

"Mi casa es su casa, dude," Bridge says. "Well, mi dorm room as I don't actually have a casa."

"So, which casa is your casa, dude? Or, uh, dorm room?"
If Mikey had been told before, it totally didn't matter. Because he had the memory of a gnat at the best of times.

"Oh! I'm on the second floor. 227. Well, 225 is my workshop but I like, sleep and stuff in 227. Except when I'm sleeping in the cabins."

"Two-two-sev-five. Gotcha!" Mikey made a point to commit that to memory. "I'm in room 407. You know. When I'm not in Keroppi."
