Platypus Campfire, evening

Considering they were going to be moving back to the dorms when they returned from New York, Isabel decided one last marshmallow roast was called for. She sat next to the small fire, carefully roasting a marshmallow to the perfect degree of gooey.

"Oh sure," Katara teased. "Tell me AFTER I burn one."

She flipped the burnt marshmellow into the flames and grabbed another to slip on the stick

Katara stuck out her tongue at Isabel. "I know firebenders remember, I got that one a long time ago. Just...I thought they were more resistant! The marshmellows, not the firebenders."

Finding a little 'oven' of coals, she held the marshmellow over it carefully.

"Excellent!" She concentrated on her marshmellow for a moment then looked back up at Isabel.

She frowned as she realised the other girl had a bandage of some type on her arm. "Did you hurt yourself?" she asked, forgetting completely about the marshmellow.

"Oh! I didn't know you were hurt by him," she said, frowning. "I just heard about Molly and Chad and Gwynn. I helped on Friday waterbending to get him gone." She reached out carefully. "I could heal if for you. If you wanted."

"Can we take off the bandage?" Katara asked. "It's a lot easier when I can see the injury."

Katara nodded, tracing her fingers just about the injury for a moment. "Yeah, I get that. When I first figured out I could heal with my bending, I was angry I hadn't gotten out of the way quickly enough."

She pulled a flow of water out of her skin and concentrated for a second as it formed almost a glove around her hand. Regulating her breath, she laid her hand over Isabel's arm, feeling the movement and disturbance of the chi. Another breath and the water glowed bright white for a moment. Katara closed her eyes then finally moved her hand away, the slice healed.

"There you go," she said lightly, gesturing easily and sending the water back into the skin. "Probably should gt those stitches taken out now."
