Fourth Floor Common Room [late evening]

Aravis could, once again, not sleep. So tonight she was curled up on the couch (where she had absolutely not fallen asleep the night before) and was watching whatever had come up on the television while sipping tea and poking at a roll of something called Rolos that she'd handwavily gotten earlier, along with a heap of other candies.

She would probably welcome company. And maybe share her candy. Maybe.

One of Setsuna's eyes slid shut. "What kind of stitches does he have that would prevent someone like him from being able to transport comic books?"

Teddy shrugged helplessly. "He could hurt himself or something? I don't know, this whole injury thing isn't something I'm all that used to!"

"Chad seems like a pretty resilliant guy," Setsuna pointed out, as if Teddy wouldn't know this. "What happened, anyway? Stitches for what?"

He ducked his head. "We, uh, kinda got attacked in the woods a while back. Some guy stabbed him."

Setsuna's shoulders straightened. "Some guy? He...he's okay, right? Chad, that is. Not...the guy..."

"Yeah, he's fine now," Teddy said quickly, to try and calm Setsuna down. "They took care of whoever did it and... yeah."

He sighed heavily. "He's okay now."

Setsuna gave Teddy a sharply concerned look. "Are you okay?" Yes, she was the one almost flailing, but that heavy sigh didn't sound good at all.

"Yeah." He shook his head, laughing softly at himself. "Yeah, I'm just being a spaz."

Setsuna looked at Teddy for a moment, quietly, before a soft smile surfaced. "Can't really blame you for being worried about him, really..."

"I just forget sometimes that he's so..." He shrugged. "I dunno, breakable. It's scary when it happens."

"Chad's...breakable?" Setsuna stared at Teddy a little. Chad was, like, three times her size and probably didn't have hollow bones, either, so the idea of him being breakable....what did that make her?

"Well, yeah." Teddy blinked at her. "Uh, Setsuna, you do know that I'm stronger than I look, right?"

"Well..." This seemed like a trick question. "I've never really fought or sparred with you before; therefor, I do not feel I'm in a position to assume one way or another about your strength?"

"Oh." Huh. "I just thought pretty much everyone knew about that."

"You have super strength, then?" Setsuna asked. "Just because you have super strength doesn't necissarily mean Chad's exactly breakable, though. I wouldn't want to go up into a fight with him."

She wasn't so good with the brute strength thing, after all. And, if he could handle se...She winced. Not even thinking about super strength when applied to that field!

If Teddy knew what she was thinking, there would be oh so much awkwardness.

"Well, you know how I can do the shape shifting thing? That kinda prevents me from getting injured."

Setsuna took a moment to consider the implications of that. "So...where you wouldn't have to worry about an injury, the same injury enacted on Chad could prove very harmful..."

He nodded, looking down at his feet. "When he got stabbed, it went through him and into me, but I was okay right after the knife was pulled out."

"It went...through him?" Setsuna's eyes were wide and her hand very unconciously moved her to her left shoulder...

"Yeah." He sighed again. "And then the idiot thought it was a good idea to get out of the clinic as soon as he was awake again."

"He...he's okay, right?"

"He's fine." Still a moron though. "Now at least."

"A person who gets stabbed through...no, a basic, run-of-the-mill human that gets run through and is fine in the long run despite, by the sounds of it, not recieving optimal treatment, Teddy, is hardly breakable...." To say Setsuna was a little astonished was a bit of an understatement. She'd only been run through once in her life, and that was more than enough, thank you, and it would have killed her if her best friend wasn't one of the strongest healing magicians in the world...

"I know he's stronger than most people, I do, it's just..." He shrugged and ran his fingers through his hair. "I worry now. More than I did before. What if I don't remember myself and accidentally hurt him?"

Like she was anyone to talk against worrying about losing control and hurting someone close. Setsuna lowered her head a moment.
