Lana sat curled up on the couch watching TV. She was so enjoying being back in the dorms. Space, good solid walls, a big building, less bugs... It was all good.

She looked even more confused. "Ask me...? You can ask me anything, Jude. You know that."

Jude fidgetted. "Are you and Jim . . . like . . . you know?"

"Like...?"

Jude blushed even brighter. "You live together, right? So do you guys . . . I mean, you know. Right?"

"Oh!" Lana's eyes went wide. "Oh, um yes, yes, we do."

"Okay. 'C-cause me 'n' Rikku, uh, don't. Haven't. But, uh . . ."

"But... you want to?" Lana asked gently.

"No!" Jude said quickly. "Well, no. Not really. Okay, a little, but not - not if she doesn't want to? I mean, I haven't . . . neither of us . . . aww, geez . . ."

"It's okay," Lana said. "It's a big step. Especially if it's the first time for one or both of you. And you really want to make sure you're both ready and you're both sure."

"But it's like . . . there's steps. We haven't . . . but she's kinda seen me all . . . you know. By accident! But then we . . . the other night . . . but we both kinda went 'ahhh!' even though they were really, really nice. It! It was nice."

Lana wasn't entirely sure she was following this - at least not all of the details - but she got the gist of what he was saying. "There are steps," she agreed. "Okay, so, um... kissing, petting over clothes... touching under clothes at all?"

She couldn't quite believe she was having this conversation and not totally dying of embarrassment.

"Um, yeah." Jude's shoulder started hunching in embarrassment, but the smile on his face was dreamy. "Did you, uh, hear about the n-naked mutiny?"

"Just that there was one," she admitted.

"There were two, actually. And I didn't, like, I still had my boxers on. And she was wearing this like bikini? With a little skirt thing. So, uh, after we didn't really get back to the cabins right away . . ."

"You, um... played around a little?" Now. Now she was totally blushing.

"Y-yeah. Not, like, touching . . . anything. Until the other night." Jude rubbed the back of his neck. "A-am I moving too fast?"

"It doesn't sound like it," Lana said. "But really, only you two can determine that. If you're both comfortable with it, I don't think there's any harm. But honestly? You two need to talk about it. If you're not comfortable talking about it, then you shouldn't be doing it."

"Yeah." Jude relaxed a little. That sounded right. "Yeah. I just . . . I don't wanna push her, y'know? And then she was thinking that I wasn't interested, but I'm totally interested but just being polite and then when you . . . yeah, and Deadpool was all 'I'll kill you, Grabby McBadtouch, totally didn't help."

"Sounds like talking would definitely be a good thing. Lay all your cards on the table. Tell her you're interested, but you don't want to push, let her kind of set the pace..." She totally didn't want to ask about the Grabby McBadtouch comment.

"I was lucky," she said, blushing again. "My first time..." the first one I remember anyway "It was with someone experienced..." really experienced "So there was only one of us who didn't know what to do."

"That was how I felt with Chad," Jude admitted. "It was kinda scary, actually . . ."

"I think it's always scary," she said quietly. "To trust someone that much, let them see all of you, have all of you..."

"Yeah. But . . ." Jude looked dreamy again. "I really love her, I think."

She smiled a little dreamily herself. "That's nice," she said. "It's great. But remember, there's no rush. You two have lots of time to explore all of this."

Jude blushed. "Yeah, you're right. I, uh, I guess I'm just scared of screwing this up."

"I was scared of that with Jim, too," Lana admitted. "I was afraid that I was pushing him too much or going too fast. But when we talked..."

She shrugged. "Well, we're still together and really happy, so..."
