Lana sat curled up on the couch watching TV. She was so enjoying being back in the dorms. Space, good solid walls, a big building, less bugs... It was all good.

Jude blinked up at Lana from the floor, his legs draped over the back of a couch. "Oh. Hey, bra."

Lana jumped about a foot, ending up on her feet looking thoroughly spooked. "Oh Jude. Hey."

It took her a moment to settle her nerves and sit back down.

Jude looked immediately sheepish for scaring her and started to right himself. "Sorry, bra. Didn't mean to harsh your mellow."

"It's okay," she said. "I'm still just a little jumpy after the whole being attacked in the woods thing."

"Yeah, I heard about that," he said with a little frown, flopping down on a couch to inspect his skateboard for injury. "Rikku was one of the people who went after him and she totally busted up her ankle and like wouldn't go to the clinic or anything."

"Sounds like her," Lana said with a smile. "She's pretty tough. Not like me."

"Aww, don't say that, bra. You're probably tougher than I am."

Lana just smiled and ducked her head.

Jude warmed to his subject. "Totally! I mean, look at this." He held up one twig-thin arm and flexed. Not much changed. "Total wimp. Even Rikku's dad thought so."

She smiled at him. "I think you're fine just the way you are."

Nope. Wasn't going to deal with the topic at all.

"Most of the time so do I," he said mellowly. Then he thought of the times he didn't and his ears went a bit red.

"So..." Lana said. "Summer workshops going well?"

"So far, yeah!" Jude grinned happily. "Okay, well, now I got glitter in like everything I own, but other than that - oh, bra! I stole the Mountie's hat!"

Jude peeked up at him over the brim of his toque. "Thanks, bro."

"How goes the skateboarding?"

"Pretty good." He gestured at the detritus of his tumble. "This was totally a fluke."

"Oh, so that wasn't supposed to happen?" the weetiny froggie giggled.

A weetiny frog was listening to weetiny headphones and falling just short of dancing as he came into the common room.

Lana smiled and waved.

Robin waved back and took the headphones off. The stylings of Alice Cooper could be heard before he turned off the tape player. "Hi Lana. What's on?"

She shrugged. "Dunno, I'm just sort of channel surfing."
