Rikku had no idea why she was up. She should be tired, but she wasn't. Go figure!

Luckily, her Monday class wasn't until after lunch, so it was okay if she stayed up late. She'd even remembered to bring snacks this time. Lots of sugary goodness and crunchy stuff.

The TV said it was a Movie Monster Marathon and Rikku was learning all kinds of stuff. She felt like taking notes. She'd have to ask someone later if any of these creatures were real or not. Most of them weren't anywhere in Spira, that was for sure.

Rikku smiled back at him. "Awwww, that's sweet! And the livestock thing is really cute, anyway. And hey! You're totally not gonna be a jerk or anything, right? 'Cause I know you aren't, but this is where I gotta do the whole don't-or-I'll-beat-the-crap-out-of-you speech. Deadpool has a good one, about shovels and Johnny Hoffa or somebody, but I don't remember it."

Seely lowered his voice. "Does dyeing most of her wardrobe pink and hiding the rest as retaliation for the livestock count? Because otherwise, not planning on jerkiness."

"No, that's totally prank war stuff and that's okay." Rikku nodded. "In fact, I even told her about how you got sick 'cause you were all 'I gotta stick it to The Man' and that's pretty cool right there. And, uh. I'm glad, 'cause, you know, she's really nice and ... yeah. Uh, you know that, since you're ... yeah. Anyway."

And then she giggled. "Pink? All of it? No way."

"Yeah, she is," Seely grinned like a completely besotted dork. "Everything except the really good stuff, there's pranks and there's nastiness, you know?"

Rikku beamed a little, because that was seriously cute. "Is the dye gonna come out? And yeah, make sure you know what stuff she really likes. 'Cause if you ruin something by accident that's, like, her favorite? You're a dead man."

"What do you think my other motive for not ruining the expensive stuff is?"

Rikku lifted a finger informatively. "Yeah, but the stuff that's most expensive isn't necessarily the stuff she likes best. Like, whatever she wore the first time you guys went out? Do not dye that. Trust me here."

"That dress wouldn't look good in pink anyway," Seely replied, nodding.

Rikku laughed. "So you remember which one? Good date, then?"

"Very good date," Seely agreed, grinning. "Movies and kissing."

"I might have heard about some of that," Rikku said airily. "There were, perhaps, favorable reports on both parts of that, by the way, so nicely done."

"She liked it?" Seely asked. "I mean I thought she did, but..."

Rikku grinned. "Hey, girl talk is sacred, you know? So if she blushed and said the date went exceptionally well, and blushed even more when I asked if you were a good kisser and kinda sighed all happy or whatever, I totally couldn't tell you any of that."

And then took a minute to consider before adding, in a slightly more serious tone, "And, uh, I really couldn't say that ... she's really glad you're her idiot and not anybody else's. If that means what she thinks it does, and she hopes so. Yeah?"

"I don't want to be anyone else's idiot but hers," he said.

Rikku beamed back at him. "Good. 'Cause ... yeah. I don't want to have to hurt you or anything. She's really awesome, you know? We, uh, we've kinda been hanging out and all that."

Rikku giggled. "Okay, that's just cute. All right, I'm totally rooting for you now. Which is good, 'cause then I don't have to beat you up. I can, you know. Just 'cause I'm tiny doesn't mean I can't."

"Whoa." Rikku laughed. "You've got it bad. I mean, I kinda guessed from the idiot thing. Still. That's so cool."

"I do not have it bad." Yes he did. "She's just one of the most amazing people I've ever met."

"Totally a coincidence, then." Rikku nodded. "No wonder you're dating her, what with her being so totally awesome and all. Logic, right?"

Which wouldn't be why he was just the teeniest bit insecure in regards to that Cor guy, nope.

"Good thing you're not blind." Rikku bounced a little. "This is awesome. Couples are so cute. Well, most of them. I mean, some you just want to hit with something. But that's not you guys."
