Fifth Floor Common Room, Tuesday Evening

Once again, there were appetising scents emanating from the fifth-floor common room. Ronan was in another cooking mood. This time, it was the rich and spicy scent of Mexican -- well, technically Tex-Mex -- food, grilling chicken, sweet chilies, and a dash of cumin, with sliced bell peppers and onions in another pan. Ronan was still chopping and preparing, but already on the counter was an array of tortillas, and various moddable toppings that people might wish to put on their fajitas.

(OOC: Hey, he's cooking again. Come feed your characters. Open to ALL. :D )

"I could smell this from all the way down on the second floor," Turtle grinned after she'd had hers set, almost was able to close it, and took a bite. "I definitely had to check it out." Already, she'd gotten food in the corner of her mouth, a little bit of guacamole, and she wiped it away with the back of her hand.

"Awesome. I don't cook much, myself, but I make a mean grilled cheese sandwich." Turtle nodded.

"One day," Turtle said, finding Ronan's tone a little infectious and letting out a dutiful sigh, eyes cast upwards toward the impending responsibility, "the world might just be in need of saving by grilled cheese, and I just hope...hope that I am there to serve."

The act dropped quickly, though, with a goofy grin.

"Hooray!" Turtle snorted a laugh. Way to be a dork in front of a cute guy, Turtle. Not that she minded, because, hey, she was a dork. With yummy Tex-Mex food, so she was content.

"Toastie?" Turtle asked, grinning. "Never heard it called that before."

"I like it," Turtle decided. "Do you have to be Irish to say it? There might be some Irish on my mother's side..."

"There's definitely some England there, then." She paused. "I think. Oh, well, I'm using it anyway, unless it's copyright, but I don't think it is."

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2007-06-13 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
"Good. Although now? Totally thinking of copyrighting it now. You use it? Bam. I get money."

[identity profile] stocksgrrl.livejournal.com 2007-06-13 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
"Mmmm," Turtle's mouth twisted in a thoughtful frown. "That's a good point. On the other hand, though, with enough money, you can 'prove' anything you want." Wink.

"Well..." Turtle shrugged a little. "You think the people who've actually copyrighted phrases were copyrighting things no one else before them has ever said?"

"Pooooossibly," Turtle said, slowly, uncertainly, not used to being potentially out-talked on matters such as these.

"But it could be," Turtle pointed out, the product gears turning in her head. She did need to start planning a potential new product for next year's Young Entrepreneurs, after all...
