Just because the birthday boy was a puppy certainly didn't mean the party would be called off. With Teddy's encouraging bark and happy hops around the room, Chad set up for the birthday party, complete with banner placed higher than most people could reach and copious amounts of pie. There was music playing, of course, and Chad's guitar on hand, too, and there were even party hats if anyone wanted one. Teddy totally got a party hat, and he couldn't even argue because he was a puppy, but he didn't look to happy about it. Prince Oscar Pedro lucked out; the hats were too big for his naked kitten head.

Now all that was needed was people to come wish the birthday...uhhh...pup a happy birthday.

Annette came in feeling pretty good. After a long nap and shower she was ready for Teddy's birthday party. She just had missed out on hearing that he was turned into a puppy.

She put on a party hat and looked around for the birthday guy.

Chad gave her a wave when she saw her come in. "Hey, Annette. Thanks for coming." He gave her a thumbs up in approval of the hat. He, too, was wearing one.

"Still a pup," Chad informed Charlie, in case she hadn't noticed, "but he's been doin' good. I've even been good about not letting Oscar Pedro climb on him too much."

Copious amounts of pie, indeed. There was at least one of every kind imaginable (except kibble), as well as ice cream, drinks, chips, and a themed birthday cake (http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/bb3/skylieicons/?action=view&current=031706Dumptruck1.jpg).

...No, Chad had no idea why it said 'Dumptruck.' He wasn't sure he wanted to know.

"Dumptruck? That's...cute." Annette got a piece of cake, some ice cream, and found a comfy chair to sit down and eat it. She couldn't help but watch Teddy though, he was just too cute.

Wish Teddy a happy birthday, and he'll probably wag his tail happily. Maybe lick your hand. And then appreciate it later when he's back to normal.

Which left Teddy confused because, while he was a dog speaking dog, he didn't understand that, not actually knowing dog, being actually alien. So he just barked back in friendly terms.

John came in to drop off the present, but the birthday pup was so cute, he had to pat him on the head. "Happy birthday, Teddy," John said, rubbing his furry little ears.

As John rubbed his ears, Teddy let out one of those little sounds that dogs made in the back of their throats sometimes, part yawn, part happy, part disgruntled. It was his way of communicating that he hoped John would get that damn party hat off his head.

"Happy Birthday, Teddy," Charlie said, crouching down to scratch his ears. "Sorry you're still a canine."

Teddy made a small bark and ducked his head to receive the scratches well because, hey, he was still a canine. He appreciated both Charlie's sentiments and her scratches.

Annette dropped off the $50 gift card she bought Teddy from Groovy Tunes, and the card with it read:
