Fifth floor common room - Friday afternoon

Raphael was finally awake and in the common room. He supposed he'd have to adjust his schedule to start doing the whole 'going to class' thing again, but who really cared for now? He certainly didn't. If Namine or Donnie needed him they could knock, same with anyone else, and Mikey was always with him.

Speaking of which, Little Mikey was on his shoulder, clinging as Raphael positively taunted him with cereal. It wasn't that he hadn't been fed, simply that he was sure the cereal was much more tasty than what he'd been given. The tiny turtle made a squeaky hiss of protest, butting against Raph's neck.

Raph's eyes rolled over to his brother. "What? I fed you, you can't have my cereal. One sugar bomb is as big as your head, dude." He turned his attention back to the TV. "What the hell is this, anyway? 'Reptar: On Ice'? Whatever." Really, he was only half paying attention in the first place. "Looks like something you'd get into, Mikey."

He continued to ignore Mikey's protests as the program began to go into a chant of "Reptar, Reptar! Gotta find that Reptar!"

[OOC: Open, of course. Grumbly Raph as always :3]

"BOTH!" Sokka shouted over to her cheerfully, with an air-kiss.

"Both it is!" Evie sang out, waiting for the first to get done, and dancing around waiting. "Ooo. And Caff-Pow with it!" She stared at the screen, temporarily mesmerized. "Is it going to destroy Tokyo?"

"I don't know? I'm not really paying attention to the plot. I'm just watching it dance and ice skate."

"'It's not how well the bear can dance, but that it dances at all,'" Evie quoted, and pulled a huge liter of Caff-Pow out of the fridge, pouring herself a cup. The microwave dinged, and she pulled out the bag. "Hot hot HOT HOT hot careful hot here!"

"No, not a bear. A dinosaur," Sokka corrected her. Because he really didn't quite understand what she was trying to say.

"BE CAREFUL!!!" He stood up and took a step toward her. "Are you all right??!??!"

"I'm okay! I'm okay. Well, I think I'd best put my fingers under the water, first. That butter is very hot," she informed him seriously, holding out reddened fingertips. "Don't touch the bag yet! Oh, Irulan would be having kittens now, wouldn't she?"

"Yeah, well, what does she know, anyway?" Sokka asked. He set Momo Jr. down on the couch and headed over to help her out. "You sure you're okay?"

[identity profile] bookyeve.livejournal.com 2007-07-07 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm quite sure," she reassured him, running her fingers under the water. "See?" Evie held out her fingers just as the microwave dinged a second time. "But, um, if you could get that bag, instead of me...."

"No sweat." Sokka grinned.

He reached around her and got his hands wet, and then pulled the bag out of the microwave and started tossing it from hand to hand. "Hot food? No problem!"

"You're so clever about food," Evie teased. "No matter *what* Irulan would say, you're quite right." She grabbed their drinks, then stopped to watch the dinosaur ice-skate again. "Really, he's very graceful for a dinosaur."
