The gym, Sunday throughout the day

Aeryn's all packed, and not really in the mood to see the room looking so much different. She hates the look of boxes and bags all packed up, so it's easier to head to the gym, though she's not being very into her workout. She's not really looking forward to leaving, and she hates goodbyes. So she figures John can say goodbye to who he needs to in the room, and anyone who knows her will know where else hey can find her.

[It's say bye to Aeryn time. *sniff* She's leaving Fandom tonight. And SP is love.]

It was absolute, pure fluke that Jack was down here - he'd come down to wear off some energy - and he smiled when he saw Aeryn. "Hey. Long time, no see. You're not armed, are you?"

"Not in the gym," she answers. "Though I could still hit. When did you get back?"

"I have no doubt," he replied, and wandered over to lean on a piece of equipment. "Couple of night ago. They gave me some time off, and for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to come back. Surprised you're still here, though."

Mel had wandered into the gym, saw Aeryn and waved at her. "Hey. I handwavily walked by your room and saw it full of boxes. You leaving?"

Aeryn nods, hitting the bag, but not nearly as seriously as she should. "John and I are moving out today," she explains.

"Crap," Mel said huffing in frustration. "If I knew you were leaving I would have... I dunno. Stolen a goodbye present or something."

At some point a courier stops in the gym and drops off a package for Aeryn. (The kind of courier that asks no questions but makes deliveries on time.)

On the package is a letter written to Aeryn saying,

Dear Aeryn Sun,

Jamie would have loved to say goodbye in person but he is... currently out of town. Instead I have shipped a couple of personal items that he treasures greatly that I'm sure he'd like you to have.

Inside the package is a complete set of Star Battles drinking glasses from Burger King, a CD of Bonnie Tyler's greatest hits and a gift certificate for five free cases of Klondike Bars.

Aeryn isn't sure about the CD when she looks through the package, but the other things she can kind of expect of Jamie.

And you know, they don't have glassware in Cambridge. The Star Battles glasses might get a lot of use.

Isabel figured time on the elliptical trainer in an air conditioned gym was better then a run outside in the heat, so she headed down before the football game. And if she was lucky? She'd even get some time on the bag to work off some of the frustrations from the weekend.

"Hey," she smiled wistfully when she saw Aeryn. "All packed?"

"I have been for a couple days," Aeryn admits, stepping away from the bag. "Much easier to just get it over with. I have a lot of junk somehow."

"I think stuff breeds in closets and drawers in the dark," Isabel agreed, as she began to stretch. "And around here? I swear that sounds believable."

Just before the flag football game, Molly went to the gym to pick up some stuff for cheerleading. She smiled when she saw Aeryn. "Hi!"

"Hi," Aeryn greets her, getting a quick jab in at the bag. "Coming in for a workout?"

"Nah," Molly said, wandering over. "I'm just picking up some stuff we need for cheering at the flag football game."

After stopping by their room, Luke knew exactly where to find Aeryn.

He came into the gym and gave her a small smile. "I could hide you here somewhere," he offered. "No one would ever know you were here."

Aeryn smiles a little in return. "Thanks," she says. "I think John might notice that I'm missing, though."

"I can stuff him into the same totally comfortable closet," Luke assured her with a nod.

"Can't believe you're leaving me here to deal with him on my own," Rory says grumpily as she enters the gym, because making it about herself is what she does best easier than dealing.

"I have a phone," Aeryn protests. "For all I know there will be weekly phone calls. The only difference is the distance."

Anakin walked into the gym well after Rory had been there, eyes pained.

"I know it's not our worlds you're going into," he said without preamble as he walked over, "but if something goes wrong, you call me. I'm not losing someone else. I'm not."

After the others she'd said goodbye to, that was a new greeting, but Aeryn doesn't blink an eye. "You know of all the people, you're the one I would call," she tells him.

On the way to Evie's football game Irulan passed by the gymnasium just to see if there were any changes while she was away.

Aeryn knows she recognizes the girl, and gives her a little nod before going back to hitting the bag.
