Fourth Floor Common Room [evening]

Aravis was bored, and in a particularly lazy mood.

Which was why there was a lethargic Aravis lounging on one of the couches, a sleeping rat on her stomach and a puppy at her feet (when he wasn't scampering around and nosing at things in the room.)

She idly flipped through the channels, slowly polishing off the last of her candy stash.

"I am being careful of her," Seely said, pouting and trying to pry her fingers off the couch.

"You're going to strain yourself," Aravis said, glaring and clinging tightly. "What are you trying to do, anyway? I'm not going back to my room."

"Trying to prove a point," Seely muttered, going from prying to tickling. "Although now that you mention it, there are things we can do there we can't here."

Aravis giggled -- though she'd never admit that -- and squirmed. "I can't think of any, considering Karal might well be there."

"My room might be roomie free though" Seely murmured, grinning.

"You'll have to remove me from the couch, first," she said, clinging with a deathgrip.

Seely trailed his fingers along her side, tickling. "I can do that."

Aravis squirmed, trying not to let go. "You're not supposed to be lifting anything or exerting yourself," she protested, laughing.

"Fine," Seely said, sitting back against the couch. "No more kissy. It's too tiring."

Aravis raised her eyebrows, then shrugged, letting go of the couch. Stupidly. "Your loss."

Seely pounced, and started trying to lift her again.

Aravis flailed for the couch, but became more distracted making sure she didn't drop Maggie. "You're going to hurt yourself! Put me down!"

"But I'm lifting with my knees."

"You'll still hurt yourself! I can walk!"

"Not without your crutches."

"Walked all the way here, can walk all the way back," she pointed out.

"Not supposed to though," Seely replied.

"And you're not supposed to be carrying me or my very heavy rat."

"Your rat is not heavy."

"Then I am, and you shouldn't be lifting me."

"You're not heavy either."

Aravis crossed her arms. "Fine. We'll go to your room. Hope you've got room for a dog and a rat, too."

Seely grinned and nuzzled her cheek. "Of course I do."

"And you will be lying down immediately," she added sternly. "Come on, Ata."

The puppy in question scampered over obediently, probably more due to the fact that he thought they were leaving than as a response to his name.
