Saturday afternoon, the pool

Annette wanted to get away from crowds.

Laying out at the pool seemed perfect. The weather was great, she could work on her tan, and she could accidentally fall asleep and not worry about drowning. She had a crafy float. Uh-huh.

(pool's open.)
(ETA: but, uh, there's no working on a tan, since uh, the pool's in the basement! Aaa! *facepalm*)

Swimming and improving his tan were two very pleasant items on John's agenda for a lazy Saturday afternoon. He waved at Annette before he dove into the water, creating an average size splash.

John did couple laps the length of the pool before getting bored and swimming over to the side of Annette's float.

"Nice float," he remarked, floating on his back with his arms under his head.

"I'm doing pretty good on my own, so far," he replied, grinning up at her. "But should I tire from floating, I might just take you up on that." John resumed lazily floating, eyes shut, smile on his face.

"I might like sleeping like this," John said, turning circles by paddling his hand in the water. "I understand why people have waterbeds."

"That is a potential risk of the waterbed idea," John agreed. "But the floating sensation must be nice."

"Nope," John replied, recalling years of tiny twin beds throughout his childhood. "You?"

"It couldn't be easy for them to break or people wouldn't buy them," John replied thoughtfully, changing direction in his self-propelled floating circle.

John chuckled, "That's something I'd like to try."

Not that John could know Annette had totally jumped on his bed that time with the scavenger hunt.
