Dick didn't read so he was not one of the kajillions enthralled in Barry Plodder right now. He was, however, watching Ratguy Returns on the TV. Michael Keaton was totally the best Ratguy ever.

The lure of the television was strong. "Oooh, Keaton was a great Ratguy," John commented as he flopped into a chair in the common room.

"Dude, he was the best." said Dick. "Nobody even comes close."

"Hi, John," Annette said. "I forgot to mention to you yesterday that I handwavily sold a bunch of cotton candy, with the help of Turtle. And we were thinking - well, it was more her idea - that the money can be split for the flag footballs teams. More footballs, that sort of stuff. I was also thinking, you know, maybe a snowcone machine could be purchased if you and Willow are okay with that. I still have to ask her."

"Oh, hi!" Sokka said, waving at John sheepishly. "Did we have practice today? Or last week? I, uh, slept through last weekend."

Turtle stuck her head in through the door of the common room to see what was going on. "Ooh, Ratguy," she enthused with approval and then came in to find a seat.

"Hey, Turtle." said Dick, sitting up from the couch so she could sit down. "What's up?"

"Hey, Turtle!" John greeted her with a grin. "How've you been?"

Sokka waved at Turtle. "You know what would be cool?" he asked. "Ratguy Squishies."

Spotting Turtle, Adam smiled and waved slightly. "Hey."

"Hi," Annette poked her head in. "What's up?"

"Hey!" said Dick, patting the seat beside him. "Nothing much, just watching Ratguy."

Turtle gave Annette a little wave. "Hey..."

Marco wasn't much into reading either, plus he didn't even know what Barry Plodder was, so he was simply looking for a common room with a turned on television. "Hey."

Annette waved at Marco when he came in, "Heywassup?"

"Abominable Vending Machine!" Sokka shouted at Marco, with a wave and a grin.

Andrew walked in, dark circles around his bloodshot eyes. Ratguy attracted him a thing that attracts things. He sat down, waiving weakly at people and not speaking.

"Hey," John greeted his sidekick, taking in the dark circles. "You're not looking so hot, what happened?"

"Hey, Andrew," Annette said with a little wave when he walked in. "You, uh, okay?"

Sokka blinked at Andrew. "You don't look so good," he said. After a few seconds of thought, he held out Momo Jr. "Have a chinchilla," he said. "Momohead makes everything better."

Adam wandered down to the second floor, wanting to see if people were around. And lo and behold there were!

Johnny gave a half wave to the guy in the doorway, who he didn't think he'd talked to yet.

"You a fan or Ratman, or just here to kill time?" he asked.

"Snowmonster!!!" Sokka shouted, once he noticed Adam. He got up off the couch -- leaving his chinchilla warming his seat -- in order to give his cabinmate a high-five.

Johnny didn't have all that much interest in reading fantasy book, so a movie about a guy in a ridiculous costume beating people up seemed like a decent way to kill an afternoon.He wandered into the common room, and grabbed a seat on the couch.

"Y'know, the movies're good, but I always liked the old TV show better," he commented.

"Yeah, but the movies are live-action," Sokka pointed out, "so they can't do as cool stuff."

No, the poor boy has never heard of Adam West. *sigh*

"DUDE!!!" Sokka shouted, vaulting over the back of the couch into an empty seat. Momo Junior, who had been tucked under his arm during the maneuver, didn't look too happy about it.

"I WANT THAT CAR," Sokka informed everyone, pointing at the screen ... uh, pointedly.
