Fourth floor common room, Wednesday afternoon after workshops

The good news was that Will had picked up a new CD, with an upbeat sound that would be good for dancing to.

The bad news was that the stereo had broken after she'd put it in the common room's CD player, so she couldn't get the disk out, nor could she get it to stop repeating the same 47 minutes of music over and over. Will wondered to herself if she'd get in trouble for breaking open the stereo to get her disk back. Or if she'd ever want to listen to it again after this.

The common room was open, but noisy.


(OOC: I have to run off for a bit to celebrate my little brother's birthday, but the room is still open, and I will be back later. Back.)

"Uh, new CD got stuck in the machine, keeps telling people that this isn't a scene, it's an arms race over and over." She blushed a little in embarrassment. "Sorry."

Jenny eyed the stereo thoughtfully. "Huh. Bet I could get it to stop." Electricity arced blue and ominous around her hand.

Will watched Jenny's electricity appreciatively. Anyone who could wield energy like that must have had a decently high power level.

"Can you also save the disk while doing it?" she asked.

"Probably," Jenny said, "but it's odds-on whether we could get it open to get the thing out."

Will frowned. It kept looking more and more as though she wasn't getting that 20$ disk back.

"Do you think the school would mind much if broke it open?"

Jenny didn't really care if the school cared or not, but since this girl seemed to, she thought about it. "It'll be beyond repair by that point anyway, so I don't see why they would. Tell you what, if they complain you can tell them it's my fault and I'll take the fall. Since I'm the one that's going to be breaking it and all."
