Fourth Floor Common Room [evening]

Aravis was curled up on the couch, a dog at her feet and a bag of popcorn beside her.

No, of course it wasn't burned. That might imply that she had followed the directions as best she could, and still failed. Which was certainly not the case.

She flipped through the channels on the television, no real aim in mind aside from steering away from anything with that obnoxious false-sounding laughter. Her mind was elsewhere, and possibly pondering how she could possibly mock that awful woman more. It had suddenly become vastly more appealing, now that she was not allowed.

[oooooooooopen like a thing]

"How are you? Did you get into town today, and see the snakes in the park?" Evie set out tea cups and started to put the kettle on, opening up the tea boxes and trying to decide what she wanted to brew. It wasn't nearly as elegant as tea balls, but it was a great deal more efficient.

"I'm fine," Andros nodded, "I didn't get into town today though,"

"Ahh. Just as well. Fandom madness on the prowl, as well as pythons," Evie told him. "I do find it disconcerting when it happens, but at least it's usually short-lived. And this time I didn't snog anyone I shouldn't have."
