While A.J. seemed to be busy crawling on the floor of the gym with a tape measure, Troy was bouncing excitedly as he waited for the cast and crew to come in. First rehearsal! A.J. was starting to wish he'd brought a tarp, because Troy looked about ready to explode with excitement and, well, quite frankly, A.J. didn't want to clean up the mess.

"Okay, guys," Troy said, "we're going to break up into two group; actor-types, you're going with me and we'll warm up and go over scripts. Tech-types, you're stuck with A.J."

A.J. let the tape measure snap shut dramatically and let out an evil chuckle. "Mwa ha ha. By the way, Aly is our awesome adviser, and without her, we wouldn't be able to do this, so I suggest we bombard her with gratitude, pie, and muffins. Great, big muffins." Not dirty. Mostly.

"Okay, lots of work to do! Let's get going!"

Collapsy please. Good time to test out any stage names.

Who the heck are you? Tell us a little bit about yourself: where you're from, when you're from, and what kind of experience you have doing theatre. Don't worry if you don't have any! Also, tell us your favorite color and food. Because that's important.

Pair up and try falling backwards into the arms of your partner. The goal is to trust your castmates to catch you when you fall. Let yourself go completely, so that you need to have them catch you rather than being able to catch yourself.

Wait for the director to ping in with even more wonderful OCD.

A.J. rubbed his hands together excitedly. Ahhh, power! And, betraying his visions of tech crew overlord, he smiled dorkily at them. "Hey, guys. So, pretty much, we're just going to figure out who's doing what. I need to know if there's anything in particular you want to do and other than that, we'll probably just sort of brainstorm today. There's only a few of us, so if anyone wants to get together and do some work outside of rehearsals, that'd be awesome."

The wonderful and amazing Aly. Wait for her to ping in.

Want to use the gym? There's still plenty of space to avoid all the dorky theater kids here.

Neil Perry

Neil chuckled at some of the questions, but he'd done something like this back home for the other play he'd been in.

When his turn came, he stood up with a bounce.

"Hello! I'm Neil Perry and I'm going to be your Narrator for this show. I'm from Vermont, 1950s and I've done one other play. My favorite color is purple and my favorite food is bacon and pancakes, because those I can cook for myself."

Setting his hands on his hips, Neil looked around for someone to partner with for this exercise.

Apropos of absolutely nothing, Johnny Whitworth is going to be in a movie called Pathology with Milo Ventimiglia and Alyssa Milano, and I find this indescribably hilarious.

Annette Hargrove

META!!!!!!

Of course, he's aged well, but he's aged noticeably, though. Woe.

"I'm Annette and I'm from Kansas City, Kansas originally. I've not really had experience other than doing a few school plays, so I'm sorry for that but I will try and play my maid part to the utmost of my ability. My favorite color is blue but I do like pink. Um. I like Chinese. Thank you."

Attempting to be just as amazing and wonderful as AJ said, Aly was here and interested in what was going on.

Annette approached Neil with a smile. "Hi, Neil. Want to partner up?"

"Good evening, Annette," Neil greeted her with a grin. "Sure thing! Would you like to fall into my arms first?"

There was an impish twinkle in his eyes as he said that.

She grinned and tilted her head, noticing that twinkle. "Total trust, right?"

"Got to be able to trust each other out there on that scarey stage," Neil pointed out.

He stepped around into position and held his arms up.

"I promise I will not drop you."

"I trust you, Neil," she said and turned, though she did give him a single look over her shoulder, making sure she was in line with him. Staring forward, she took a deep breath and let it out the same time she let her body drop backwards.

Andrew Wells

Stepping forward, he was careful to catch her securely under the arms. Legs spread he let his own body work as a shock absorber, taking her weight and bouncing a little before pushing her back upwards towards her feet.

He has. :( Far too much meta, and they are CRAZY MED STUDENTS using cadavers at the morgue to play a game about how to commit the perfect murder.

The panel I was sitting through before that one was promoting a movie called, um. I don't remember, but Rory Cochrane was in it and it was an Empire Records alum sort of day, apparently.
