In the early part of the evening, Abigail headed down to the common room, and set up for the party. There were snacks and non-alcoholic drinks, along with a few opaque bottles of alcohol that were all labeled at the bottom with what was inside. If she was going to get into trouble for her efforts, at least she'd get into a lot of trouble at the same time.

Next to the snacks were a bowl of breath mints, and a sign labeled "RULES":

1. You don't have to kiss anyone you don't want to.
2. You don't have to kiss anyone period. Passive voyeurs are welcome. Dirty voyeurs will get kicked out.
3. If you take pictures, you must promise to send a copy to Abigail Whistler, or your camera will be taken away.
4. All kissing must be done with someone of the same sex. There's liquor here for a reason!
5. If you move past the kissing stage, take it to a room unless you're comfortable with everyone watching.

Yeah, she definitely wasn't going to be telling her dad about this the next time she called home.

Phoebe shook her head. "Let's hope she doesn't. Better for all of our sanity."

"For real," Isabel nodded.

"Listen Phoebe, I'm heading back to Roswell this week. I'm not sure I'm going to be back. You'll look out for Anders? Please?"

Phoebe looked at her. "You're leaving?" She shook her head. "You know I'd protect him with my life...but leaving?"

"There's things I need to do," she explained. "For my brothers. I'm not sure I'll be able to, and if I can't, I'll be back. But if I can...well, you know how it is. They're family."

Phoebe nodded. "I get that." She gave Isabel a serious look. "You know that if you need help... I'll be there if you call... no matter when or where."

"Thanks," Isabel said quietly. "Bel made the same offer. But we're talking a different planet and a war that's been going on for decades. I'm not asking anyone to get involved in that."

"You're not asking, Isabel. I'm offering. Look, it's kind of what I do... and how many times have you gone to Hell with Cole and I when we would never have wanted our friends to get involved in our wars?"

"I know Phoebe, and I appreciate it," she replied. "It's just, this isn't a simple rescue mission that'll be over in a few hours. This is a war for a planet. We're talking years and years. You guys have your own battles to fight. I don't want to see you risk your lives fighting mine."

Phoebe nodded. "I get that, but my offer stands. You're my friend... and Anders' big sister person. My offer stands... no matter when or where, okay?"

"I know. Thank you Phoebe."

"You're welcome."
