Lawn in front of the dorms, Thursday after first period

Eight inches? Jude didn't know imperial very well, but that just sounded insane.

So there was only one thing to do, one logical course of action to follow. The resurrection of a proud Fandom High tradition (hey, he'd done it once before, hadn't he?).

So now, Jude was standing in front of the dorms in his Awesome suit, jacket and skateboard nearby, holding aloft a sign that said simply, 'FREE HUGS'. A stack of similar signs was at his feet.

Someone else out to break Umbridge's rules? This was definitely hug time. Edward walked up and opened his arms, grinning. "For the willful upheaval of the establishment?"

Johnny was still in his Awesome suit as well and he grabbed a sign, proud to support his school.

And hey, free hugs, can't beat that.

Chad's head tilted at the sign. "As if I'd ever expect you to charge for them instead," he commented.

Edward grabbed a sign, as well, and tried to put on his most pleasent smile. Why not?

News of the latest edict had reached Aziraphale, and he was bemused. He also wondered how Wilson was going to take it, when he returned from New Jersey.

So when he spotted the "Free Hugs" sign outside the dorm, he chuckled and headed over.

"I would be ashamed of myself to ever turn down a hug," he said to Jude, with a smile.

"Good day, Mr Storm," Aziraphale said brightly, after his ~~assumed~~ hug from Jude. "I have to say that this is one of the more appealing types of protests I've come across."

"Isn't it though?" Johnny said grinning and went in for a hug. "Best protest ever. Well, kissing would be good too but you know, this is safer."

Technically speaking, Chad wasn't really holding up the sign. He'd just picked it up to get a closer look at it and it just appeared that he was holding the sign. He was thinking that he should really probably get a Hug at your own Risk sign, because he cared about people's ribs.

"This is definitely safer," Aziraphale chuckled, returning the hug. "As I'm rather certain I'd be permanently living on the couch if I were to go around kissing students."

Or, well...really if he were to go around kissing anyone other than Wilson and Lucifer.

He was in his awesome suit anyways, so why not? He was a good hugger.

"See? I just don't get that rule. Kissing students, teachers -- I've got this really hot teacher but I'm not going to mention her name. I think she could kick my ass."

Aziraphale laughed. "And she probably would if she heard you say that. I suspect, though, that most of the students here see us teachers as 'old people' and would rather not associate us with kissing in any manner."

"I don't," Johnny said with a resolute nod. "'Course, I wouldn't just go around kissing teachers either. Some of them, um, definitely no."

"Well, I wouldn't go around kissing anyone indiscriminately, but then I've got a pretty good motivation not to," Aziraphale laughed, as he rubbed his thumb over the ring on his finger. "You young people, on the other hand, should have fun. Just be careful. And, er...make certain you don't kiss anyone likely to want to hurt you for it."

Annette stepped over to Jude. "Excellent protest."

Cute skater-looking boy offering free hugs? Hello.

"Hey," Ronan said, smiling widely, his lilt thickening unconsciously. "Free hugs, eh?"

Annette looked at Johnny for a minute, her brow arched. "You're not going to try and kiss me are you, if I give you a hug?"

Ronan smiled at Johnny. "Hey," he said. "Offering free hugs as well?"

"Hi," Annette said, smiling. "Hug?"

"Hey, Chad!" Ronan said, smiling. "How're things?"

He couldn't help but think back to his flirting with Teddy the day before, at the festival; when in doubt, flirt with the guy's boyfriend to balance it out!

"Hey, I never kiss without asking first." Yes, he did. "But I get what you're saying," he grinned. "And advice taken to heart."

"That's a chance you have to be willing to take," he replied, quirking an amused brow.

Johnny smiled at Ronan. "That I am."

"Hey, Chad," Annette said with a grin, staring up at him. "I want a hug."
