Lawn in front of the dorms, Thursday after first period

Eight inches? Jude didn't know imperial very well, but that just sounded insane.

So there was only one thing to do, one logical course of action to follow. The resurrection of a proud Fandom High tradition (hey, he'd done it once before, hadn't he?).

So now, Jude was standing in front of the dorms in his Awesome suit, jacket and skateboard nearby, holding aloft a sign that said simply, 'FREE HUGS'. A stack of similar signs was at his feet.

[[I have to go have blood tests done soon, but post is open for hugs and for people to grab a sign and join in.]]

Technically speaking, Chad wasn't really holding up the sign. He'd just picked it up to get a closer look at it and it just appeared that he was holding the sign. He was thinking that he should really probably get a Hug at your own Risk sign, because he cared about people's ribs.

He couldn't help but think back to his flirting with Teddy the day before, at the festival; when in doubt, flirt with the guy's boyfriend to balance it out!

"Hm?" Chad looked generally confused; that happened sometimes when he got to thinking about stuff like signs and ribs. "Oh. Hey. Things're good."

Oh! Right! The sign! Chad looked down at the sign in his hand.

"I...I guess I am."

"Good!" Ronan said. "Hugs are an important part of one's emotional development." He stepped a little closer. "And they're a lot of fun."

"Hey, Chad," Annette said with a grin, staring up at him. "I want a hug."

"Huh?" Chad looked at Annette like he didn't know what she was talking about, and then shrugged and opened up his arms. "Okay."

She gave him a tight hug first then said, "It's why you're standing here. Isn't it? The hug protest?"

Hugs were definitely something Chad did well. When Chad hugged you, you definitely knew you'd been hugged, at any rate.

"...I was just looking at the signs," Chad admitted.

Then she looked at the sign like an idiot.

"Sorry? I just thought...you know."

"I agree," Chad said, opening his arms up for a Tori-hug.

And Chad gave Tori a hug back, not too tightly, because he didn't want to hurt her, but it was definitely a big ol' bear hug of Chad-like proportions.

Tori grinned, happy for all the hugs she was getting. "Did you have a run in with our lovely temporary principal yet?" She was concerned, if Umbridge hurt Chad? Well, let's just say she'd regret it. A LOT.

Robin's arms in no way reached around long enough to actually look like he was hugging, just like he was doing some kind of bug on a windshield imitation. "Hey you wanna perform with me at Caritas tonight? Some guitar would go really well with the song I've picked out."

"Very good," Chad smiled a little, grateful that Naminé would be so considerate to ask. "Sleeping off the heat right now, and he got a little bit of a sunburn, but he's good. How are you?"

"A sunburn? That's a shame, I hope he'll be all right. But it's good he's staying out of the sun today." She smiled back. "I'm having a rather awful week, no thanks to that hideous woman, but I've been wonderful otherwise. In fact, I should thank you; I got rather hooked on admiring other people's cats, and ended up getting one of my own."

"You did?" This made Chad very happy, although it couldn't really be seen on his face. If one was listening well enough, they could have heard it deep in his voice. "Now your cat will have to come play with Prince Oscar Pedro. He likes playing with other cats a lot."
