Second floor common room: Friday evening

Jack, in his rather pleasant new body, had been for a

handwavy

run around the island, and now he was was sprawled on the couch in the common room, shirtless. Seeing as he'd promised Karal he'd behave, he was avoiding temptation by staying away from Cedric, at least for the moment.

Flipping through the channels on the TV, he couldn't settle on anything, but he had the remote, so, "Channel surfing it is."

[ooc: *cough* Ignore that brief timeslip that temporarily hurled the common room forward one day. It's been fixed now.]

"Give Karal his body back," Gavin said.

"Can't. I'm stuck here and he's stuck in mine until Fandom decides to switch us back." He smirked again. "At least it's a very pretty body."

Gavin made a face. "I didn't need to know that."

"You've got eyes, you already know it," Jack pointed out, grinning. "And I'm betting you're just as pretty. Are you sure you don't want to take off your shirt?"

"I don't look at Karal that way," he said and made another face. "And why?"

"You're really missing out," he replied. "And it would distract me from going and finding fun things to do with this body."

Not that he actually would, he'd given his word and for once he intended to keep it, but Gavin didn't have to know that.

"Stop...telling me things about Karal's body," Gavin said and covered his face with his hand.

Jack started to laugh. "But you're so cute when you react like that."

"Stop saying that!" Gavin said and covered his face again.

"Why?" he asked reasonably, highly, highly amused. "It's true."

"Because..." He shook his head. "I don't know!"

"Karal needs to tell you're cute more," Jack decided, completely teasing Gavin. "I'll make sure to let him know, once he's back in here."

"No, don't!" He shook his head rapidly. "I don't want to be cute to him! We're just friends!"

"You're sure?" Jack asked innocently. "I don't mind."

"I'm sure!" Gavin nodded. "Don't...tell him that."

"I won't." Jack snickered. "I think the shock might kill him."

"Thank you," Gavin said gratefully.

"No problem." Jack studied him for a minute. "Karal's perfectly safe in my body, nothing's going to happen to him, and these things tend to fix themselves after a couple of days."

"I believe you," Gavin said. "Just...don't tell me I'm cute anymore."

"Awwww." Jack made a sad face at Gavin, then grinned. "I'll just think it."

"I guess that's all right," Gavin decided.

A very happy, almost dreamy smile, spread across his face as he stared off into space. He was mostly putting it on, but Gavin probably didn't want to know what he was thinking about. "Sure you don't want to take off your shirt? It'd help."

"Stop it!" Gavin said again, waving his hands around. "No!"

"Yeah, okay. I'm done." He sat up straighter, leaning over the back of the couch, still grinning. "Want me to tell Karal to come and find you once he's back in here?"

"As long as he's the on in there, yes," Gavin said.
