Fifth Floor Common Room, Friday evening

Willow was bored. So she took her hedgehog Philbert over to the common room to watch TV.

To her delight, Stage Right was on.

Of course it wasn't on a premium channel, so a lot of the swear words were dubbed. But still!

"You'll like this," she told Philbert. "There's dancing!"

"They make dyes that wash out pretty easily," Bridge says. "My hair will be back to normal in another week or two. And you're going home? When? You're definitely coming back, right?" he asks.

"Oh, yes. But I haven't been home since Christmas, and I'm getting rather homesick. It should just be for a week here, although I suppose I could come back and find it's Christmas here instead." She frowned. "I do hope that doesn't happen. And now you've nearly convinced me that I must alter my hair color when I get back, if it would all be gone by Parent's Weekend in October." She sighed. "I hope Jonathan can make it again."

"I'll totally help you out with that," Bridge says with a bounce.

"It won't be *too* bright, will it?" Evie asked, suddenly anxious. "Or make me look like a chorus girl? Mind you, that might be amusing, but it would be very misleading."

"There's all sorts of different shades," Bridge says reassuringly. "You don't have to be, like, fire-engine-red unless you *want* to."

Evie breathed a sigh of relief. "Good. Some people have the elan to carry off magenta or fire-red hair, but I would simply look as if someone spilt marinara sauce on my head, I'm sure. A nice auburn, or, ohhh, gold-red. That would be lovely, but my hair is probably too dark." She tilted her head and giggled. "And perhaps blue or green for Halloween?"

"Oooh, blue," Bridge says with a nod. "I thought about adding blue stripes but then I thought it might be too much."

"I think it would look lovely," Evie said, not entirely sure if that was true, but unwilling to put a damper on the concept. "And very modern. I'm afraid my origins preclude me from ever attempting anything quite so outre. But I admire the effect."

"Well, we'll just start off with a shade of red," Bridge says decisively. "And then you can go from there."
