Cheer camp! SHOW, gym, 14:00, Sunday

The gym was set up with left over cookies, drinks and much space for the audience to watch the cheerleaders perform. Buffy would probably go out and bodily drag audience in if necessary, but she hoped the combination of cookies and short skirts would do her job for her.

ooc: wait for ocd. OCD is up! GO GREMLINS!

"No, not really," she agreed, smiling a little. "I've suffered worse. I'd thought you'd lost your mind. Do you remember what he did?"

She was smiling, this had to be a good sign. "Not at all. We truly were switched, his mind in mine and mine in his, and I suppose he took all his memories with him when it reversed. It was very, very strange, being in someone else's body."

"He made...overtures," Aravis said delicately. "So I ordered him from the room."

"Oh, Sunlord," Karal groaned, putting his face back into his hands. "I should have known he wouldn't have behaved! I had to make him promise not to do things with my body! A promise he did keep," he added, feeling the need to be fair. "Did you hit him with a shoe?"

"I threw both shoes at him, actually," she replied, looking a bit pleased with herself. "Missed on purpose, of course -- if you weren't well, I only wanted you to leave, not make it worse."

"Thank you for that," he said with a tiny smile. "Though part of me wishes you had not been so considerate, even if it would now be me suffering the bruises."

"If you -- he, sorry -- had done more than talk, I would have," she assured him.

"Good, but I am relieved he did no more than make overtures. He is, I think, a rather," diplomacy came to Karal's rescue as he hunted for a word, "different sort of person than you and I." He blushed again. "Yes, well, but I am back in here where I belong, and have taken no harm from it. Though I dread discovering what else he might have done."

"Can't have been that awful," she offered. "Hopefully he left in terror of tiny women with good aim."

He started to laugh. "Yes, hopefully," he agreed. "But how are you, Aravis? Tell me you have stayed safely in your own body?"

"As far as I know," she assured him. "And I have been well otherwise. I assume you are here in support of Molly?"

"I am," he confirmed, with a goofy smile he was completely unaware of. "Not that she needs it to do well. She's quite skilled, isn't she?"

"She is," Aravis agreed. "Not that I know anything of the sport beyond what I've seen at practices. Seely's doing well, don't you think?"

"I did not know it was a sport, until John Sheppard told me." Karal stopped watching Molly, who really had been holding his attention, and grinned. "He is, yes, and he seems to be enjoying himself. You are both still happy?"

"Very happy. Three months yesterday," she replied. "How long for you and Molly?"

"It will be two on Thursday," he said, sounding surprised. "Aravis? When you came here, did you expect any of this?"

Re: Audience

[identity profile] notqueenyet.livejournal.com 2007-08-27 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Aravis burst out laughing. "No. Not in the slightest. And if you'd asked me four months ago to describe the perfect suitor, I would have laughed in your face."

Karal smiled down at his hands. "Nor did I, not any of this, and if someone had said that I would have a noble as a friend," he glanced up at her, "I, well, I would not have laughed, but I would have been fairly incredulous."

Re: Audience

She smiled a little. "I'm not typical of my people," she replied. "Or, well, I am trying not to be. So I will not say that I'd have been incredulous about it."
