Second Floor Common Room, Sunday Afternoon

Kou hadn't really felt like going down to the picnic yesterday, and it totally hadn't had anything to do with his computer and certain video clips downloaded from the internet. So now, in an attempt to lure people out of their rooms, he'd attached a video game system to the common room television and set up a couple of dance pads. If the obnoxiously catchy Dance Dance Revolution couldn't draw people out, he wasn't sure what could.

Sora felt pretty good, having gotten a job already as he headed back into the dorms. This place was realyl cool, he'd have to write to Kairi and Riku about it and let them know.

But that thought quickly fanished out of the brunettes mind as he heard the sounds of up beat music coming from the common room. "Hey, what's that?" He smiled and headed inside.

"Hey!" Kou greeted the newcomer, hearing him even though he was currently playing a round of the game. "Newbie?" He asked as the song finished, turning around.

"...Ah! Sion (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v192/kiara_jinzan/other/?action=view&current=bouncer_sion.jpg)!?" Kou's eyes went wide as he looked at Sora. "You're a kid now too!?"

"Sion?" Sora blinked and then groaned. "Oh man... don't tell me I have another nobody out there." He rubbed his face with his hand as he winced.

"My name is Sora," he sighed. "SO-RA, not Sion and yeah, I just got here yesterday."

Kou looked closer at him, then nodded. "You're right, you are different. You're happier." He grinned as if that made everything obvious. "So, Sora. I'm Kou Leifoh. Nice to meet you. Do you dance?"

"Uhh, nice to meet you too Kou," He smiled, albiet awkwardly, and nodded. "Uh... yeah! At least a little bit.." He chuckled leaving out the part that the only time he had danced was underwater and when he was a merboy.

"Don't worry," Kou assured him. "If you have any sense of rhythm, you can totally rock this game. Wanna give it a go?" He stepped off the pad and gestured in offering.

"Yeah! Uhh... I can give it a go." Rhythm? No problem right.... right.

Sora moved onto the pad looking down at the arrows printed on it. "So I step on the arrows?"

"Yeah, you step on the arrows when they reach the top of the screen. Try one of the easier songs first - it's rated with a foot mark, see?" Kou pointed to the screen, where the difficulty meter was.

"Ahh gotcha!" Sora watched the arrows going up the screen in rapid succession and tried his best to hit the right area of the dance pad at the same time, but he failed miserably. The game told him so!

"Oh man!" He sighed. "Maybe I have better rhythm when I've got a fin."

Kou hesitated, then asked, "Do I really want to know?"

"Huh? Oh." Sora blushed faintly. "I used to travel to a bunch of different worlds, one world was full of merpeople, so I had to be transformed into one."

It made sense in Sora's head at least.

"O...kay." Really, it wasn't that much weirder than finding out the girl that your best friend was jonesing over was actually a robot. Kou grinned. "So, you got yourself some tail, then?"

Teh joke flew right over Sora's head as he nodded slowly, not seeing what was so funny that he was grinning. "Uhh... yeah. I had a tail... Is there something wrong with that?"

Kou sighed, shaking his head but not losing the grin. "Nothing. Forget about it. You're not from around here then, huh?"
