4th floor common room, Monday Afternoon

Neville was trying to spend as much time out of his room as he could. Hermione had cast a protective spell on Trevor, so he would probably be all right, but just in case his room mate got mean, Neville had put Trevor in his cage and taken him with him to the common room.

It didn't look half as inviting as the Gryffindor common room, he decided and looked around. It didn't even have a fireplace!

There were lots of interesting muggle things though. He put Trevor down on the table and went to study the big black box curiously. He couldn't figure out what it was for. Some sort of mirror?

"Hey, Hermione-bra," Jude greeted her mellowly, having performed his usual combination of luck and skateboarding talent to arrive in the common room in one piece.

"Hi, Jude," Hermione greeted him. "How was your trip? Rikku seemed to have fun."

"Oh, totally!" Jude grinned. "You totally shoulda seen it. Rikku like dominated the mall. Ron never knew what hit him."

"Um. Dominated the mall? Is that good?" she asked.

"It's awesome. Well, the bit with the Jumbotron wasn't so good . . ."

"The... bit with the Jumbotron?" Hermione got the feeling he and Rikku should really just have cameras follow them around.

"Yeah, we kinda, uh . . . look, I totally didn't realise there was cameras in Ron's office," he said defensively.

"I don't actually want to know, do I?" she asked.
