Party on the roof, Dorm roof, Friday night

River looked up at the sky. Once it got dark enough the stars would be visible. She smiled. That would be decoration enough. The music was already playing and she tooka a few dance steps, then spun around, closing her eyes.

Still, to be a proper party there was a few other things needed, and River had made sure they were there. Buffy had let her borrow the CD-player they used for the cheerleader practice, and Isabel had brought a large collection of CDs. River herself had provided snacks, mainly the kind bought from a shop, and had mixed a non-alcoholic punch.

From somewhere a few bags of glitter had appeared, available for anyone who needed it. River frowned, then shrugged. She placed the chair she had promised Adah next to the stairs, hoping that she would brave the long climb up to the roof, and put a blanket on top of it.

[Up early because I'm in a timezone that makes me want to go to bed before everyone else. Everyone's invited to party and dance. Wait for OCDs! OCDs are up!]

"Wicked," Ron said with a trace of glee. "I'll definitely have to check that out later. So how did you end up here Neville?"

"Um, after Cedric... you know," Neville said, lowering his voice and waving his hand vaguely. "Gran thought this would be a better place for me. I thought it was a wizard school! But it isn't, it's all Muggles and other people."

"Yeah, Dumbledore sent me here on a Muggle exchange thing," Ron said with a nod about the whole Cedric thing. "So I knew it wasn't a wizarding school but I wouldn't call this place exactly normal. My roommate? He's about as big as Hagrid, almost as hairy and is BLUE."

"All over," Ron said with a nod. "He says he's a monster, but he seems to be a pretty good bloke."

Neville looked dubious. "He's not like Hagrid's creatures, is he?"

"Nah. He can talk and stuff and is actually a pretty nice fellow," Ron replied. "Scared the daylights out of me when I first got here but he's not a scary monster or anything. Unless he wants to be. Which isn't often. I think."
