River looked up at the sky. Once it got dark enough the stars would be visible. She smiled. That would be decoration enough. The music was already playing and she tooka a few dance steps, then spun around, closing her eyes.

Still, to be a proper party there was a few other things needed, and River had made sure they were there. Buffy had let her borrow the CD-player they used for the cheerleader practice, and Isabel had brought a large collection of CDs. River herself had provided snacks, mainly the kind bought from a shop, and had mixed a non-alcoholic punch.

From somewhere a few bags of glitter had appeared, available for anyone who needed it. River frowned, then shrugged. She placed the chair she had promised Adah next to the stairs, hoping that she would brave the long climb up to the roof, and put a blanket on top of it.

[Up early because I'm in a timezone that makes me want to go to bed before everyone else. Everyone's invited to party and dance. ~~Wait for OCDs!~~ OCDs are up!]

Ronan came up to Bo at one point, still shedding glitter from what had been thrown at him; his shirt was practically hanging off him now, revealing that the glitter that he'd magicked covered his entire torso. "Hey," he said, grinning. "Want to dance?" No, he didn't bother introducing himself first.

Bo was, in short, surprised. It wasn't every day that a good ol' Southern boy was propositioned by a glittery, half-naked Celt.

But hey, he had to be polite.

"Sure," he grinned.

Well, this was Fandom, after all; one had to adapt to new and exciting situations.

"Great," Ronan said, holding out a hand for Bo to take. "I'm Ronan, by the way," he added. "Ronan Nolan."

"Bo Duke," he replied, feeling a bit funny about taking his hand but ~~then again, it was just like being back in Hazzard with Luke, right?~~ followed anyway.

"Would you rather lead, Bo?" Ronan asked, his lilt maybe thickening just a little bit. "I can follow, if you'd like."

"Don't make no matter to me," Bo said with a grin and a shrug. "Just might step on your feet otherwise."

Ronan laughed. "Then, yes, by all means, lead away," he said, stepping forward towards Bo. Perhaps a little closer than would generally be considered 'polite', but, hey. Cute boy.

Bo chuckled a little and took the lead, not seeming to mind overmuch.

Ronan followed adeptly; it wasn't quite the same as dancing with River, but not much would be, he figured, and Bo certainly wasn't a slouch at leading. "You don't seem overly worried by the glitter," Ronan said, testing the waters a bit. "Or has no one explained that to you yet?"

"Glitter?" he asked with a bemused little smile, still smiling though his brow was furrowed.

"... Oh, boy, do you have a lot to learn," Ronan said. "Basically -- and I'm not even certain at this point if it's just an excuse, or if it's some kind of crazy Fandom weirdness -- glitter equals boykissy." He paused. "Not that I've ever really properly needed the excuse." Early makeout sessions with John didn't quite count in that regard, because after that first initial push... well. Again, he hadn't really needed the excuse.

"Boy . . . kissy?" Bo didn't seem to realise the dangers of asking this question while dancing with a glitter-covered boy.

"You know," Ronan replied. "Boykissy." And then he leaned in, example to explanation, and chastely brushed his lips against Bo's.

Well, when in Rome . . .

What the hell? Bo just liked kissing.

So he kissed him back.

Oooh. Ronan had to admit, even though he'd been angling this way, he hadn't really expected it to work. Still, his surprise didn't keep him from kissing back, still swaying to the music.

"Y' sure this happens all the time?" Bo murmured in his thick drawl, drawing back just enough to talk.

"All the time," Ronan replied, a bit breathless. That was a good kiss. "Kind of a Fandom tradition. Like shirtlessness."

"Weren't half-bad," he had to admit. Ronan wasn't bad himself at the kissing thing. Enough that Bo wouldn't mind trying it again. He leaned a little bit in as if to encourage the other boy along to his way of thinking.

In the case, Ronan didn't exactly require much encouragement, as he, too, leaned back in, capturing Bo's lips with his own.

Well huh. Just as good the second time around.

Bo's hand roamed up Ronan's back to slide through his hair as he turned that good ol' boy charm up a little more.

Ronan's hands slid further around Bo's back, one resting between Bo's shoulder blades while the other nestled at the small of his back.

After a moment, he pulled away, just enough to talk himself. "... So. Welcome to Fandom."

"I think I'm gonna like it here."

Ronan grinned. "Good." And then he hesitated a bit, because this would either complicate things all to hell or just make them simpler all around. "... Want to do something this weekend? Go out for dinner, maybe?"

Bo hesitantly lifted his hand to brush a bit of Ronan's hair from his face. "Sure. I should be makin' friends."

Ronan laughed a little. "... Yeah, friends," he said, smiling a bit. "Or... maybe a date? Or date-like thing."
