Third floor commoon room, Late Monday night

Peter was somewhat restless tonight. If he were in New York, he's probably go out webswinging. Unfortunately Fandom's buildings weren't tall enough. That meant late night infomercials.

"Girls Gone Wild? No thanks. Bowflex? Not for me. Shortcut to Internet Millions? Only if I can go back to before the dot com bust. Ultimate HGH? Is that even legal?"

Peter sighed. What had happened to all of the good infomercials? He continued to watch, drifting just enough into sleep that his reaction time might be a little off.

"You would prefer your own comfort to children having nearly FOUR dollars?" Peter asked. "Maybe it would sound better to you if I included this coffee table! A fifty dollar value for free with purchase of the couch!"

"Yes," Z said. "Because technically I'm a child, and I'd much rather have a couch and coffee table than almost FOUR dollars."

"Well, I'm sorry to hear you say that because the children are, of course, our future," Peter said. He paused to listen to the audience applaud his kid-friendliness.

Z considered him for a long moment, then unzipped her SPD jacket to rummage through the inner pockets. "Can I buy the couch and coffee table and leave them here? The children need somewhere to sit and put their drinks, you know."

"Sure! It'll be delivered to you in six to eight weeks and then you can put them wherever you want," Peter said.

"What if I don't want it delivered? What if I just want you to leave it where it is?" Z asks the hard-hitting questions.

"I'm sorry, but it has to be delivered. That's just the way it works," Peter said.

"Well then maybe I don't want it," Z said huffily.

"I'm sorry to hear that, but you should stick around and see if there's anything else you may want!" Peter said.
