There was a very large Mexican who didn't know who he was trying his best to disappear behind the side of the couch opposite the door, despite the fact that it didn't seem to be working very well.

It might have been best not to ask, but it had a lot to do with the fact that, when he woke up not too long ago, he had woken up to a thing with no hair and great big bulging eyes trying to eat his face.

In the cat's defense, Prince Oscar Pedro Neko-kun (pause) the Third was merely trying to give Chad the usual morning-afternoon greeting, but he didn't seem too bothered when Chad didn't react the usual way, curling up on the bed and going back to sleep as Chad shouted stuff and left for his new, current hiding spot.

And he was determined that no weird naked creature thing was eating his face.

He kept peeking out from behind the couch that wasn't really hiding him at all to begin with, just to make sure it hadn't been following.

"Not at all," Chad answered, looking over at the guy. He had long needle things. If any weird cat things attacked, they could be armed and stab out eyes and stuff. "What's up?"

"Uh, woke up this mornin' without a clue who I was or where I was. 'M going by Danny Ketch today, so it's nice to meet you. 'Less you already know me from somewhere, in which case any clues you could give me'd be appreciated."

He took a seat on the couch that Chad was unsuccessfully trying to hide behind. "An' there seems to be a bunch of knittin' stuff in my room, so I guess I enjoy that."

"Nah, I had the same thing, Danny, man," Chad admitted with a shake of his head. "But Dawn named me Osman. It means God's Protector."

Yes. That was preening.

"Hey, 's a petty good name with an impressive meaning," Danny said. "I jus' picked something out of thing air."

And those ketchup packages on his floor, but he wasn't mentioning them.

"I like Danny," Chad complimented. "Good and strong, you know?"

"Yeah, I think it'll do for awhile," he said, smiling at the compliment. "Any idea how both you an' me seem to have come down with amnesia today?"

Chad shrugged. "haven't had much time to think about it," he admitted. "Jus' woke up a little bit ago..."

Hmmm, so he didn't know either. "D'you know 'f it's just us, or if there's more people affected by this too?"

"Couple others have been, too," Chad nodded a little, then shrugged a shoulder. "M'not really worried...."
