Fifth floor common room, Wednesday evening

The fifth floor wasn't really Cassandra's floor, but she had handwavily agreed to meet Namine there. She was busy moving furniture out of the way to create as wide an open space as possible. Somehow this meant that most of the seating was pushed out into a circle around her clear space.

After a critical look over her work Cassandra nodded to herself and idly went through a few stretching routines, waiting for her friend's arrival.

[ooc: Cassandra's here to teach Namine something about how to dance, but she'd be glad to teach anyone else who asked her too. Or, you know, do the other things that you do in a common room.]

Naminé peered in curiously, then greeted the other girl with a smile. "Are you certain you want to try this?" she laughed. "I'll apologize in advance for any smashed toes."

"Don't worry," Cassandra grinned, "I won't let you smash any toes." She waved a hand, gesturing for Namine to step out into the open space.

Naminé stepped into the area, still hesitant. "Well, then. I shall place my faith in you. And at least I'll have warned you."

She fidgeted slightly, with her hands behind her back. "How do we begin?"

"At the beginning," Cassandra said simply. She stepped forward, and held out a hand, gesturing for Namine to take it. "Dancing is like talking. Only... more honest. It's... harder to lie."

Naminé swallowed hard, and then took Cassandra's hand. "All right."

She was nervous. Too used to sitting and thinking, so her body wouldn't listen to her whims as easily as she'd like. And she was overthinking it already, step closer, nod ...

Irulan entered the common room and paused, curious.

Cassandra looked up and offered a polite nod. Then decided a wave might be in order too.

Irulan returned this with a nod of her own, she can do the not talking thing very well but thought it polite to add, "Hello."

"Hi," Cassandra replied. "I'm not... in the way am I?"

Naminé smiled and nodded at the other girl. "I'm learning to dance," she explained.

"Is it hard?" Irulan asked.

"The hardest part seems to be not overthinking it," Naminé said. "Which I am rather good at."

Billy had had a sudden thought, and was looking for Cassandra in hopes of discussing something with her. Oh, and look, he found her. "Cassandra, hey."

She looked up and then grinned a bit, finishing a last series of stretches before waving. "Hi."

"How's it goin'?" Billy was doing a good job of hiding it, but he was a bit nervous. Not that he could trick someone as trained as she of course.

"Pretty good, going to teach a friend about dancing." She eyed him and his nervousness, "What's up?"

Naminé nodded to Billy, staying in step with Cassandra's movements.

Billy nodded back. She was doing rather well he thought.

The couches weren't really facing the TV at the moment. That made Sokka sad.

On the other hand, there was a floor show going on, and it was pretty good. "WOOOO! KISS! KISS! KISS!"

Sokka received a rather disapproving look from Cassandra for his troubles.

Sokka stuck his tongue out at Cassandra, and gave Naminé a thumbs-up.

Well, Cassandra could stick her tongue out too! If he's not going to act mature, why should she?

Naminé raised an eyebrow at Sokka. "Didn't you have enough of that at the party?"

Sokka raised an eyebrow at her. That was a silly question.

She laughed. "I shan't be kissing any girls for the foreseeable future. I'm sorry to disappoint you."
