Fifth floor common room, Wednesday evening

The fifth floor wasn't really Cassandra's floor, but she had handwavily agreed to meet Namine there. She was busy moving furniture out of the way to create as wide an open space as possible. Somehow this meant that most of the seating was pushed out into a circle around her clear space.

After a critical look over her work Cassandra nodded to herself and idly went through a few stretching routines, waiting for her friend's arrival.

[ooc: Cassandra's here to teach Namine something about how to dance, but she'd be glad to teach anyone else who asked her too. Or, you know, do the other things that you do in a common room.]

"If you follow the music, that might make it easier," she said, nodding. She noticed Cassandra's change in rhythm and tried to fall into step to match, realizing she was watching too much and thinking too much and tripping again just a little.

Naminé considered for a moment.

"Did you know that I can create portals?"

Naminé smiled faintly, stepping into the spin. "Through darkness. They can connect any two points. Darkness is a void, and you can reach it from anywhere; therefore, moving from here to the void and from the void to somewhere else again is as simple as opening the pathway."

She was thinking about the doorways, the rippling purplish-black, and focusing on a spot to move there, and not of her two left feet for once.

Naminé laughed. "It's simple, at least, it seems logical, to me. But I've explained it to some and received some very strange looks. Especially those who don't believe in magic or what they would call the supernatural." She changed directions and spun, much more at ease than she had been.

"I showed someone, who was telling me that all of those claims were clearly ridiculous," she smiled, taking a moment to readjust before falling into Cassandra's rhythm. "I thought his eyes would fall out from his head. Should you ever need a shortcut somewhere, incidentally, let me know."

Naminé realized she was thinking about talking and not moving, which meant she should not think about moving, and luckily managed to distract herself before she started to. She hoped.

Naminé stopped for a moment, struck by the other girl's words, before she was able to nod and take her friend's hand. "I ... I will," she said. "Thank you."

It was such an inadequate phrase. She hoped Cassandra understood.
