Third Floor Common Room - Thursday Evening

Anyone coming into the third floor common room would very probably find themselves being pounced on by a blue kitten trying to scare them. Unfortunately, even in this form, Sulley's roar needed some work.

The TV was on for those students who weren't animals.

"Huh." He let that sink in a moment. "Still seems real odd to me to have people jus' turn into somethin' out of the blue. Don't know if I'll ever get used to that her."

Rikku shrugged. "I, uh, it's kinda ... I guess I don't mind so much, you know? The stuff that was hard to get used to, where I'm from, it was kinda a lot worse."

Johnny took a seat on a couch across the way from Rikku. "So, where you from, anyway? This world, somewhere else? People turn inta bigger cats in your home?"

Rikku laughed, faintly. "No, although he's kinda a few shades off from a Ronso. Uh, big cat thing with a horn? I guess you don't have them here. If you're from here, I mean. I'm from Spira and you've probably never heard of it, unless you're in Sex Ed, but I don't remember seeing you there. Whoa, that's a weird sentence, huh?"

Johnny laughed. "Don' think I've ever heard Sex Ed, horned cats, an' spirals mentioned in the same sentence before. 'M afraid of never heard of that or a 'ronso' either. I'd imagine about the closest I'd come is the Fiji Mermaid that they had where 'm from."

Rikku hugged her knees, laughing again. "See, the Sex Ed teacher here? She's an old friend of mine. We kinda saved the world." She waved her hand vaguely. "The new one, this semester. Not whoever the creepy guy was this summer. But, uh, see, if you'd've ever talked to her? You might have heard of Spira, so it totally made sense to me. Uh. More or less. Sometimes my sentences end up a little bit away from where they're supposed to go. You have mermaids? Really? I've never seen one. I've heard they're supposed to be beautiful."

I ain't taken a sex ed class here, so I don' think I've met her yet. She look anything like you, since you're from the same world?"

He laughed. "Not the Fiji ones. You make it by sewin' the bodies of a monkey an' a pike or somethin' together, an' then mummifying the whole thing. The result ain't all that beautiful, but it fools people who'll pay t'see it."

"Nope, not even close," Rikku said, shaking her head. "She, uh. She's got really dark hair and wears this long funky-looking black dress and she kinda --" She held her hands out in front of her chest, emulating Lulu's most noticeable asset. "-- You might have seen her around. She's, uh, hard to miss."

She scrunched her nose at his description, giggling. "Ew. Why would anyone want to see that? That sounds gross."
