Second Floor Common Room [late evening]

After hearing about Jim and his very exciting Homecoming date -- which she was totally okay with, really -- Pam didn't feel like doing much of anything.

Which was why late Thursday night found her camped out in front of the television, focusing on absolutely nothing on the screen. But she was totally okay with Jim going out with some random girl. Really. Toooootally fine.

[Pam's here to run into someone in particular, but open to other night owls.]

Blackheart had absolutely nothing else to do tonight. He didn't exactly sleep, so wandering about as opposed to being locked in his room all night was generally the game plan.

It occurred to him that the antics of the weekend had left him behind on his homework for Pop Culture. The homework being, of course, to watch television.

No better time than the dead of night to do that.

"Anything good on?"

"There are better things to spend twenty dollars on in this world, I'm sure," Blackheart mused, nodding at the girl he, likewise, did not know. "Hi. Usually up this late?"

"Sleep is for the weak," he chuckled, grinning.

He meant it.

"Any particular reason you can't?"

"What a sin," he said, crossing his arms. "Is there anything that you need to make it less disappointing?"

"Ah." He looked at the television as she flipped from one program to the next. "I don't have one of those, either."

Not that he had been looking, per se. But company wasn't always so bad. Generally.

"Yeah, it's a pleasure," even Blackheart had manners. He took note of the fact that she was looking him over. "My name is Blackheart. And before you ask about the name, yes, my father does have issues."

He laughed a little. He was pretty certain that she was lying.

He kind of liked that.

"You don't have a date, then? For Homecoming? Were you looking for one?"

[identity profile] way-black.livejournal.com 2007-10-05 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
"I... could be?" She really wasn't bad looking. For a mortal. And it was bad form to show up to such things without a date... "Maybe I am. If I was, would you say 'yes?'"

Huh. So this is how dating worked, topside. Blackheart would have to make a note of that.

"I'll see you tomorrow evening, then. Where should I meet you?"

This was bound to be interesting.

"I'll see you at the dance, then," Blackheart said after a moment of consideration.

He was actually almost looking forward to this a little. Somewhat.

Blackheart considered.

He probably owned some green, somewhere...

"Good night." He grinned, nodded his head a little, and then turned to leave the common room.

There wasn't anything good on TV right now anyhow.
