Rikku bounced into the gym and started setting up. She waited until it seemed like everyone had filed in, and then cleared her throat. "Uh, hey guys? Molly and I kinda have an announcement-thing." She nodded to the other girl.

Molly joined Rikku and smiled at the squad. "As most of you know by now, Buffy had to ~~handwavey~~ leave this weekend and won't be back until the end of the semester probably. Until then, she's left Rikku and me in charge of practices and stuff." She looked back at Rikku to see if she had anything to add.

Rikku bounced on her toes. "Uh. I think Molly's probably more in charge than me, 'cause I'm way newer? And Buffy totally gets to run stuff again when she's back. And ... uh ... I think that's it?"

Molly giggled at Rikku and nodded. "Buffy will be back in charge when she gets back, yeah. And that is basically it, I guess. Do you guys have any questions?"

Before warmup River lay down on her back on the floor and stared at the ceiling.

Following River's example, Annette laid down too except on her stomach, and she stared at her hand that was flat on the floor near her face.

Chad was wondering why everyone was lying down. So he did it to, thinking he missed something and just didn't know it was what everyone was supposed to do.

John cocked his head to the side and stared at the people laying down. "Odd," he said.

Z wasn't sure what the purpose of this exercise was, but wasn't about to turn down any opportunity that might lead to napping.

If you've got a question for Molly or Rikku, here's the place for it.

Molly waited to see if anybody had any questions.

"Why are they all laying down?" John asked Molly, hoping she knew these things.

Molly looked over at the floor covered with cheerleaders. "I took them all out for being uppity," she said with a completely straight face. "It's how I ensure that the rest of you toe the line now that I've taken over."

John laughed, "That gives me incentive to behave."

Molly grinned. "My plan. She is vorking," she said in a very bad Russian-German accent.

"You seem to really enjoy your new power," he commented with a grin. "What devious changes do we have to look forward to?"

"First," Molly said quietly, looking around for eavesdroppers, "there will be warm ups. Then, the practicing. And, when we've done that enough to get good, there will be cheering for the public."

John smirked. "I figured you'd step it up with some calisthenics! Kick us all into gear, given the accent."

Molly shrugged. "I don't want to let you in on my whole plan, do I? You might try to form an uprising."

"Uprising? Me?" John raised an eyebrow. "You give me too much credit."

Molly gave him an exaggerated look of suspicion. "That's exactly what you'd say if you were planning one."

John shifted his eyes from side to side. "Never!"

Molly started chuckling. "You so would."

"I am innocent!" John exclaimed.

Molly burst out laughing at that.

John smirked at The Strong One. "I am innocent."

Get that blood pumping.

River did a light warmup that included lost of spinning around.

Annette was tired and sat down and did leg stretches. It was all she could muster up.

John stretched and ran a few laps around the gym to warm up.

Shake that thing.

River was practising intensely.

Annette shook her thing. Then she wondered if her thing was shaking too much. She tried to look over her shoulder at her own butt but that wasn't going so well.

John wasn't sure what he was supposed to be shaking, so he kinda watched others shake...things.

She has a nifty idea and will be tagging in with it.

Aly was there, of course, still hyped up on sugar and caffeine from Study Hall. "Hey guys, I was thinking - you all have been looking really, really good recently, and since you don't have a competition coming up at all, perhaps you'd like to show off your stuff for Parents' Weekend next week. It would be neat to be able to show the awesomeness everyone here's been putting together."

"That's a great idea," said Molly who hadn't thought about who might be coming for Parents' Weekend this year. "I'm on Student Council and I'll see what is planned already and ask if we can add it in."

Voyeurism, woo!
