Cheerleader Practice - Thursday Afternoon - Gym

Claire made her way into the gym to set up pretty early, blasting out music as she set out the mats. It felt a little weird doing it on a Thursday, though. Like her whole week had been thrown out. Still, with no classes her week was already kind of out anyway.

John wandered over to chat with Molly, "So, how'd it go yesterday?"

"Good!" Molly said. "Karal's home is like going back in time, but with magic everywhere!"

"Magic and time travel," John repeated. "Sounds like a nice vacation spot."

Molly made a face. "Except that it was winter," she said.

Molly shook her head. "My clothes would have stood out too much. Karal borrowed some for me."

"Right, the whole robes thing," it was John's turn to make a face. "Did you do anything fun while you were there, or was it strictly business?"

Molly shrugged. "Mostly business, but I got a tour of the palace and some of the city. Karal's friend said I could go back for a longer trip later."

"Must've been nice to see where he comes from," John remarked. "Think you'll go back again?"

Molly nodded. "I'd like to. I only got to meet one of his friends since Karal was so busy."

"Speaking of Karal, I haven't seen him around much lately," John remarked. "Is he going to be spending more time here than back home now?"

Molly nodded. "He won't have to go home every week like before," she said and grinned. "Much more time to just hang out again."

Molly blushed a little. "Probably," she said grudgingly.

He managed to avoid snickering, knowing that would just cause retribution. "Is anyone coming to see the exhibition from your home?"

Molly made a face, "Oh, man! They are going to bug me so much about being a cheerleader," she said. "I'm not sure who's coming yet, but someone is, yeah."

"Mostly," she said. "I'm not looking forward to Karal meeting them just because of the possible interrogation that will probably happen, but I'm mostly excited."

"Yeah, familial interrogations are pretty rough," John agreed, hoping he wouldn't have to deal with that. "If at any point you or Karal need to hide from your people, my door is open."
