"It's always good to try?" Ino suggested, even though she couldn't disagree. Parents did have an unfortunate tendency to Know Things.

"You don't understand." His hands shaking and his eyes big - he hadn't slept in days - Jeff was starting to look mildly desperate. Mildly. "It's my mother."

And Ino was starting to get worried. "Calm down, it's alright. She's not here yet. It's only Thursday."
