Cheerleading Demo - Gym - Early Saturday Afternoon

The gym was decked out in the school colors, and there was a big banner that said "WELCOME FRIENDS AND FAMILIES!" along with posters saying "GO GREMLINS!"

There were refreshments stations set up outside the gym handing out popcorn and sodas and as people entered they could pick up pennants or pompoms to wave.

Claire hugged him back hard.

"You couldn't tell when I landed funny?"

It had only been a little.

"I can tell you did your best," Bennet replied. "Which is all I ever ask of you."

Well that and to never notice the life of lies that their family was living. But still, only two requests when you got right down to it.

Claire pushed him lightly in the arm.

"Don't you want the others to feel like they were able to be here?" Bennet asked. Then, because he had actually met his family before, he added, "Well your mother, at least."

"You would say that," she said, before looking through the photos.

Only about one was deleted, with the appropriate gasp of horror, and she handed it back.

"OK, these can stay."

"Oh, I've been given permission now?" Bennet said, lightly teasing. "Am I allowed to call your mother later and tell her how well you did?"
