Second Floor Common Room, Sunday Afternoon
Valentine had nobody coming to see him this weekend. Therefore, he was not out and about, celebrating the finer points of family and proudly showing off the campus and explaining classes and avoiding awkward explanations about how the world worked.
But that didn't mean he wanted to be cooped up in his room, being bitter about this point.
So, instead, he had invaded the second floor common room and had put a sign in the doorway.
Parents-less Party!
You don't have family on the island? That's no reason to be without! Grab the person nearest you and come on in, they're your parent for the day!
You know you want to. There's juggling. And popcorn. And Valentine has the TV turned to a Stuffed Domicile marathon for lack of anything better to put on.
He hadn't grabbed a parent for himself or anything. But Very Important Men had to be at least a little choosy.
(Open, as common rooms tend to be-- parents or not. Come on in and celebrate freedom from the 'rents, or rebel because you are bitter about parents, or even show up if your parents do happen to be about!)

AUGH. IT IS TOUCHING ME. AUGH!Valentine did an admirable job of not freaking out at the sudden hug-attack. It was certainly an unexpected turn, but it was no reason to see if his juggler-arms could toss his costume mistress across the room.
So, mostly, he just stood there and squirmed uncomfortably.
"It isn't so bad, really," he lied, "onwards and upwards and all that, after all."

It was entirely possible that Valentine was just a little more awkward around people than he might care to let on.
"You know, I've been contemplating another Fandom Chicken," he said, changing the subject to avoid the possibility of another random hug. "I was thinking possibly a prequel, this time. Any input?"

"She needs to fight another giant, city-destroying monster," he declared. "With a bigger budget."
