Third Floor Common Room - Friday Morning

Chris was kind of cranky after his visit to Caritas with Lana last night.

So he decided to hole up in the common room with mindless daytime television and sugary cereal as company.

"Okay, you're right," Johnny said and looked mildly sheepish. "I sort of was... was being the key word here, Chris and... Savannah is sweet and... you didn't hear the radio I take it?"

"No, I don't usually listen to it," Chris said. "Can't believe anything you hear on there."

Johnny looked away. No way was he going to mention anything. Nope. No freaking way.

"Uh, well. Uh." Tongue was definitely tied right about now.

"Is there something I should have heard?" Chris asked.

"No, uh, why?" Yep, Johnny was checking out his shoes.

Chris looked at Johnny. "You're acting awfully weird. Maybe I should download the podcasts."

"Maybe I don't think they're downloadable," Johnny lied. "I think...something is screwy with the system. Maybe I should go see if Savannah is awake now."

"Dude, just tell me," Chris said.

Johnny looked over at Chris and studied him for a second or two. "We've... you know."

Chris's eyes got very wide and he clenched his fist. "Oh."

"So, uh, yeah... It was great though, I mean, no forcing of anyone," he really probably should just shut up.

"Better not have been," Chris said. "Or else I won't hesitate to kick your ass."

Johnny would not be Johnny if he didn't say, "You could try, you mean."

Chris simply raised an eyebrow. "Dude, let's not go there."

"You brought it up," he pointed out.

"I did not!" Chris argued. "You asked me if I listened to the radio and then acted all weird about it."

"Yes you did! And then you said you wouldn't hesitate to kick my ass! That's bringing up the whole ass kicking if you ask me."

"You're the one who said that there was no forcing involved! Why would you think I would think there was?"

"I don't know! Clarification?"

Chris rolled his eyes. "Whatever, man. If Savannah is happy, I'm not gonna say anything. And as long as you do right by her, we won't have any problems."

"Great. She is happy. Glad I got this out of the way. Think we'll like, all hang out one day?"

"Well... you're certainly more tolerable than Anders," Chris decided. "Maybe we can do a double date or something."

"Cool. Pizza, movie? Savannah and I would like that."

Chris nodded. "Yeah, I think that would be cool. Let me just check with Lana and see when. Saturdays are bad because I work at the Devil's Nest."

"All right, just let us know and we'll get together," Johnny said, thinking this was pretty cool actually.
