Fourth Floor Common Room, morning

Isabel always thought better when she cooked. That was why Friday morning she could be found in the common room making muffins. Lots of them.

Hopefully the smell would draw people in to eat them.

"I can make a mean grilled cheese," A.J. announced, brandishing a grin. "And my ramen's pretty tasty. I have milkshakes down to a science, but that's not really cooking, per say, so, yeah, prepackaged food is my life."

"But," A.J. pointed out, "what would be the point if there are already so many lovely people like yourself who'll just cook for us?"

"I'll return the favors with milkshakes," A.J. nodded confidently. "They're worth it, or so I've been told."

"You should!" A.J. enthused. "It can get really boring there sometime, especially on Sunday. And? The food is fine to eat, because I don't make any of it. We've got kitchen staff for that."

"See?" A.J. sighed dramatically with a shake of his head. "No love for Luke's in this place. Tsk."

"Good," A.J. nodded, reaching for more food. "So...muffin making and Luke's shunning aside, how've you been?"

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-11-02 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"Good," A.J. nodded, satisfied with that answer. "That's how life should be. Don't think I know Blackheart?" He couldn't help thinking only of Beauty's horse, though, because, well...Greatheart, Blackheart, close enough, and he knew there were more horses in the stable than just Beauty's. "But a cute fluffy bunny is always good."

A.J. considered that fact that....he didn't think any of his friends were demons or vampires, but...He shook his head a little. "I can get that. Some people are just like that, just...don't ever seem to click or anything."

Cough, Adah, cough. Maybe those two crazy kids should get together and just be awkward at everyone together, aw.

"I've been oddly without any demon lectures," A.J. admitted. "I mean, I guess I never even really considered their existence much until, y'know, here. My world? Booooring. Well, was. World of A.J. right now is just a big mess." His nose wrinkled. "It's not bad, but, ugh. Not good, either."

"Just..." A.J. lifted a shoulder awkwardly. "Stuff. Me being a big idiot, that's all. I should be used to it by now."

"Oh, I know," A.J. said, grinning just a little. "I'm workin' on it. But people," he just may have thrown a little bit of an accusing muffin her way, "keep asking me about it."

[identity profile] by137.livejournal.com 2007-11-02 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well," A.J. responded, just as snootily as his fingers picked out another muffin. "La de dah. Sorry to waste your precious time, your muffin highness."
