Fourth Floor Common Room; Friday Evening.

"Out, damn spot..."

A.J., still rubbing at a splotch of paint that had gotten on his sweater from the insane amounts of therapy painting (you should see the sheets in the room), frowned as he moved into the common room. He needed food, stat, and copious amounts of mindless entertainment. There probably wasn't anything good on TV, anyway, but he figured it was worth a try. He moved over to the cupboard to start rooting around for something easy to make, muttering under his breath about where were all the people cooking wonderful delicious food now.

[[ open as common rooms tend to beeeee ]]

Adam was ever so slightly bored, wandering into the common room in hopes of finding some form of entertainment.

"Hey," he smiled.

"Uh, not that I've seen lately," Adam admitted, shaking his head. "I've got some stuff back in my room?"

"All right, if you're sure," Adam smiled, nodding. "Yeah, I know the feeling."

Adam laughed, shaking his head. "Not really no. I mean, I'm okay with certain things but I have a long way to go before I qualify as a well rounded cook."

"Hey, it's a start," Adam grinned. "Yeah, seems the way of the world," he chuckled.

"I've been good," Adam smiled. "Classes have been keeping me busy, how about you? Haven't seen you in some time."

"Sure sounds like it," Adam let out a low whistle, taking in the amount of counting A.J. had done. "And here I thought I had a lot going on," he smirked.

By coincidence, there was a very competent young Japanese chef headed for the common room. Unfortunately, she had a craving for something that wasn't exactly in her repertoire -- mac and cheese.

"Hi A.J. Is anyone using the stove? I can always come back later," said Hoshi, polite as always.

"Sure. I think there's some elbow macaroni in the cabinet and some milk and cheddar in the fridge," said Hoshi, pulling out various pots and pans.

"Sure. I always make too much anyway," said Hoshi. "Thank goodness it's Friday already. How was your week?"

[identity profile] itsjustlanguage.livejournal.com 2007-12-01 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
"You're welcome," said Hoshi, just a little perplexed. She made a mental note to listen to the radio more often. "So things were not better earlier?"

"Good food always helps. That's what my grandmother used to say," said Hoshi, looking at all the traces of paint left behind on A.J.
