Jeff had his films back. Jeff had his really, really awful films back. Jeff really loved his really, really awful films.

This is why Jeff was sacked out in the common room with a lot of popcorn and bottles of soda, ready and willing for another one of his spectacular bad old horror movie marathons.

Of course, he'd have to kick it off with 'The Globule'. Timeless classic.

"You know," Jeff repeated, making handmovements near his nipples, "A physician." He may have been pronouncing it wrong.

"You're kidding," said Hoshi, looking astounded. "They still do that kind of thing in this century?"

"Well," Jeff said, and it sounded like the kind of 'well' a college professor might use, "I find it's very important across the board for people to be able to make up for any inadequacies in learning or... breasts."

Hoshi pouted. "Just because they're small doesn't mean that they're inadequate. And I can more than make up for it with my intelligence."

"Are you sure?" Jeff asked, genuinely concerned. Genuine concern took precendence over blurting. Well, sort of. Mostly it just caused a different kind of blurting. "Because there's options."

"I don't need options. I'm perfectly happy with myself the way I am," said Hoshi. At least home-schooling had done that much for her. The self-confidence would serve her well one day when she had to report to Sub-commander T'Pol.

"Of course," Jeff said, with true and utter understanding. "I'm certain your rear cleavage makes up for it."

He was just trying to be encouraging. "It's important to respect a woman's right to have cleavage wherever she wants."

Hoshi didn't know what to say, and considering how many languages she knew, that didn't happen very often.

Realising that he must have made a faux-pas somewhere, Jeff attempted to scramble back to something that seemed sane.

Being Jeff, he failed horribly. "Or you could have cleavage on your head," he offered. "I'm not discriminating."

"How could I have cleavage on my head?" asked Hoshi.

"Well," Jeff said, thought about it, and repeated, "Well, what if there is some sort of space alien with a breast ray?"
