Fifth Floor Common Room, Thursday Afternoon Into The Evening

There was a stack of horror movies by the television.

And a couple Britt Ekland ones. Just to even it all up.

Jeff was seated on the couch, surrounded by soda and popcorn, and holding a very large binder of something or other.

He was prepared. Very prepared. Capital Jeff Prepared.

River slumped down next to Jeff on the couch and reached for the popcorn. She picked up a Britt Ekland DVD. "Breasts?" she asked.

"Breasts," Jeff nodded, enthusiastically.

River smiled cheerfully. "Other qualities too?"

"Legs," Jeff said. "Thighs. Gusset. Rear cleavage."

"Voice?" River suggested. "Massive amounts of blonde hair?"

"I am so over studying right now. Bring on the movie fest!" Andrew exclaimed, plopping down on the sofa.

"I have popcorn," Jeff announced, "There are drinks." He waved his folder around enthusiastically. "We are not to remember any classes tonight." Pause. "Not that I have trouble with that usually, but more in a general sort of context."

"Look at you being all prepared!" Andrew was impressed. He pulled a packet of pop-tarts out of his pocket. They were bent in such a way as to pretty much guarantee a shower of pop-tart crumblets when he opened them.

"I brought provisions, too," he said with a frown.

"It's important to be prepared," Jeff espoused, "What with it being movie night and everything. Well, technically right now it's more sort of a movie afternoon, but that's why you've got to be prepared. Provisions!"

He had just gone in a little circle. Possibly.

"So what movie will we be watching first, sir?" Andrew asked. "I trust that you've picked out some truly groundbreaking cinema for us this, um, afternoon."

River smiled at Andrew. "No tree to climb."

Andrew smiled back. "I'm opting to keep my feet on the ground for a while. Tree climbing is great and all, but only when you have an expert there to help you out."

River let out a giggle and threw a popcorn at Andrew.

Jamie should be studying for finals.

Technically he is as there's a dupe in his room that's supposed to be studying.

Which allows this Jamie to grab a spot on the sofa.

"Cool! Movies! What's on?"

"Assault of the Really Tall Women," Jeff gladly divulged, giving Jamie the thumbs up upon arrival. "The uncut version!" he grinned.

"Oooo!" Jamie said kicking up his feet on the coffee table. "Are the tall women really angry. There's nothing like a tall angry woman. Or at least that's why I assume they are assaulting."

Jeff eyed the screen. "Right now," he divulged, "The really tall women appear to have achieved of mild annoyance."

Jack wandered around...and caught the scent of Really Bad Movies.

"Hey," he said, dropping into a seat. "What's the movie?"

"It's the third Really Tall Women movie," Jeff pointed out, "It isn't quite as good as 'Assault of the Really Tall Women', but still acceptable if you enjoy really tall women in skirts."

"I do. How tall is very tall? Tallest I've seen is about six foot, maybe six foot two. An' I think about five feet of that were legs," he said with a grin.

"Fifty," Jeff answered immediately.

Turtle was here the whole time, omg! ducked out of work a little early to make it to this movie thing because, hello, boyfriend asked. She couldn't not be there.

She looked Quite Impressed with the set-up. So far.

Jeff grinned brightly at her as she came in. "Turtle!" Because that was the way Turtle had to be greeted. "Sit down!"

He offered her a bucket 'o' popcorn.

She'd be concerned, really, if it were any other way, and the greeting was met with a light grin as she did just as suggested, plopping down on the couch next to Jeff. Turtle's hand darted into the bucket, leaning over perhaps a bit more than necessary because it gave her a convenient way to have her shoulder against Jeff's without being all...coupley about it. "Thanks! You've got a good set-up here, Jeff. I approve."

Jeff, on the other hand, had no qualms against couplyhood and leaned sidewards against Turtle. "We're watching 'Charge of the Very Tall Woman' first," he decided.
