Third Floor Common Room; Tuesday Evening.

As volunteered, Turtle went up to set up the coffee cart for StuCo in the third floor common room for the evening. She prided herself in the excellent set-up for gross coffee from the Perk, lots of treats from J,GoB, all of them served on Westing Paper Products from...well, Turtle & Canary, of course. Once she was sure everything was perfect for people to come get as they stayed up studying for the remainder of their final, she settled on the couch and fired up the VCR.

What? Feminism was tomorrow. She had to catch up on some Bea Arthur stuff, so this was totally studying.

Ron was checking out the drinks and food. "Don't suppose you have any butter beer, do you?"

"I think it's mostly coffee and tea and soda, sorry," Turtle gave Ron an apologetic little smile, that brightened a bit with an arch of her eyebrow. "What's butter beer?" she asked, with the intrigue of a possible new niche market to explore.

"It's... Butter beer," ron said not having a better description. "It's just something we drink back home."

"...Home being?" Turtle asked next, with a tilt of her head, and a slight challenge in her glance to dare him to give her another obvious answer like that. Because while, okay, sure, butter beer (which if it was what it was sounded gross, but whatever) could be what it was, she knew 'home' should garner a much more specific answer.

"England," Ron said with ahrug and oblivious to any challenge. "Though I think its mostly served to wizardry type people."

"Probably why I've never heard of it, then," Turtle said, biting her lip a little. She, herself, wasn't sure if she meant because of the England thing or the wizardy type thing. "I'll have to look into it, though."

"It's not a big thing," Ron replied as he grabbed a soda. "I'm Ron by the way. We have that Bean Artur class together."

Sokka made a face at Bananaman. "You can make beer out of butter? I hope it tastes better than seaweed beer..."

Ron made a face. "It's not made of buuter and I'd rather drink that than seaweed."

"I'd rather drink anything than the seaweed," Sokka muttered. "So... butter beer, huh? Is it any good?"

"Well yeah. It's like beer but it has a nice flavor to it," Ron said. "Seaweed? You drank seaweed?"

"There isn't much to make alcohol out of at the South Pole," Sokka pointed out. "I guess it was either that or fish guts, and really, no one wants that."

There was food again! Sokka stood over the table and breathed in the heavenly aroma of J,GOB.

"I think I love finals time," he sighed.

"Mooch," Turtle said, but with at least a small amount of admiration. Really. Very small, but still there. "Just remember, it's brought to you by your fine elects at the Student Council."

"You say 'mooch', but I say 'connoisseur of the freebie'." Sokka grinned.

"Student Council? What's... Oh, right! I think I voted for you for that."

"See? It's a good thing you did, because that's why I can be here to provide you with freebies to be a connoisseur of," Turtle pointed out with a nod and then, smiling a little more, she added, "Thanks."

Of course, "connoisseur" might not be an entirely proper word, because Sokka wasn't exactly pausing to savor the pastries he shoved into his face.

"For what?" he asked her, through a mouthful of muffin.

"Voting for me," Turtle said, forehead frowning because what else would she have been thanking him for?

Hoshi was taking a break from studying and packing for her trip home. "Ooh, coffee," she said. "What's the occasion?"

"Finals week!" Turtle explained with a proud grin. "Student Council sets these up in the common rooms every day so that people can come in, get caffeinated, and study all night if they'd like. Help yourself. There's more than plenty."

"Thanks," said Hoshi, helping herself to some coffee. "How are your finals going so far?"

"Pretty good," Turtle bobbed her head a little bit. "I think. I've only just had my sex ed one, but it was pretty subjective, you know? How about yours?"

"So far, so good. I think I've got the tough ones out of the way. Now it's just Communications and Love Smart," said Hoshi.
