When in doubt? Bake brownies.

So, that's what Lana was doing. Lots of them. Lots and lots of them and some chocolate chip cookies for good measure. And frosting for the tops of the brownies.

Coming back from the Post Office, Ino couldn't help but stop and go investigate the smell of something cooking. She poked her head in the common room and grinned. "Morning, Lana!"

"Hi, Ino!" Lana called happily and dropped to the floor with near perfect form. She got up and grinned. "Just in case you wondered if I'd been practicing."

"Is it becoming more of a natural movement?" Ino asked, "Because that looked pretty good to me!"

"It is," Lana agreed. "And I'm not bruising myself or anything any more."

That got a beaming smile. "That's great!" Ino looked around the room, "You're in a cooking mood?"

"I'm in a cooking delicious chocolate baked goods kind of mood," Lana corrected.

Her eyes went wide and pleading, "Don't suppose you'd share?"

Robin smelled baked goodness and came to investigate. "Hi Lana! Whatcha making?"

"Brownies and chocolate chip cookies," Lana said. "Help yourself, there's plenty."

"Ooh!" Robin squeed with delight. "Would like some help?" He also helped himself to a cookie. Mmmmmm.

"Sure, if you want," Lana said, gesturing to the bowls and such. "You might be a little small though."

"I can help add ingredients." he volunteered confidently. The tiny frog hopped up on the counter, and surveyed the scene.

"Knock yourself out," Lana said with a smile.

The smell of brownies was enough to draw Sam out of his room, and he grinned when he saw that Lana was baking. "Hey, those smell really good," he said.

"Sam!" she said with a smile. "Oh, I'm so glad you stopped in. Saves me having to track you down. A bunch of these are for you."

"Really?" Sam asked, perking up even more.

"Yeah, I was up late the other night and caught you and Dean doing radio and, welll, you mentioned the brownies I brought to Dr. Wilson." She smiled a little shyly. "So I thought it might be a nice thank you."

"You don't have anything to thank me for," Sam said. "Which doesn't mean I won'y happily accept the brownies, but still."

"I do," she said quietly. "If you two hadn't happened along just then..." Her hand went involuntarily to where Angel - no, Angelus had bitten her. "I would have been dead instead of just bruised and down a couple of pints." She tried to speak lightly, but it still scared the hell out of her just thinking about it.

"Anyway... there's a bakery box there, that's half brownies and half chocolate chip cookies for you. Or if you'd rather have all of one, I can do that too." She smiled up and up and up at him happily.

Dean had a fine tuned sense of food-dar; that coupled with heading down to bug his brother, had him wandering into the third floor common room. "Something smells good."

"Dean!" Lana said with a smile. "I'm glad you're here. A bunch of these are for you."

"Yeah?" Dean grinned widely.

"Yeah. Heard you guys on the radio the other night when I brought some to Dr. Wilson. And well, I found Sam earlier, but I haven't seen you to thank you for saving my life." She smiled at him. "Thought these might make a nice thank you gift."

"You don't need to thank us," Dean said, "but baked goods are always happily accepted."

"Another few minutes and I would have been dead," Lana said. "Not just bruised and down a lot of blood. I think thanks are in order. Anyway... there's a big bakery box there, half brownies, half chocolate chip cookies. Or if you want all or most of one over the other, I can do that too."
