3rd Floor Common Room: Monday Late Morning [12-31-07]

When in doubt? Bake brownies.

So, that's what Lana was doing. Lots of them. Lots and lots of them and some chocolate chip cookies for good measure. And frosting for the tops of the brownies.

"Yeah, I was up late the other night and caught you and Dean doing radio and, welll, you mentioned the brownies I brought to Dr. Wilson." She smiled a little shyly. "So I thought it might be a nice thank you."

"I do," she said quietly. "If you two hadn't happened along just then..." Her hand went involuntarily to where Angel - no, Angelus had bitten her. "I would have been dead instead of just bruised and down a couple of pints." She tried to speak lightly, but it still scared the hell out of her just thinking about it.

"Anyway... there's a bakery box there, that's half brownies and half chocolate chip cookies for you. Or if you'd rather have all of one, I can do that too." She smiled up and up and up at him happily.

"Hey, try not to think about that," Sam said softly. "Just remember that you're okay, and Angel is Angel again." His smile got wide again when he saw the box. "That sounds like a great combination. I'll have to make sure I take my share before Dean eats all of it."

She nodded. "That's what I try to focus on. When I can't just put the whole thing out of my head completely.

She grinned at the look on his face. "Don't be silly," she said, pointing to the other side of the counter where a second bakery box waited. "I made one for each of you. Come on. Teenage boys?"

"Did you ever see how much Jim could put away?" Lana asked with a smile. "You're welcome. Enjoy. And if you ever want more... well, it would give me an excuse to make a couple for myself as well."
