Third Floor Common Room, Saturday Morning

Completely oblivious to yesterday's influx of new kids, Zack emerged from his room, and made his way down to the common room in a search for caffeine.

Coffee in hand, Zack turned on the television and flipped through the channels in search of something interesting. Mmm, Bitterwoman reruns.

[Open, as a common room is.]

Why yes, Alex was up somewhat early on a Saturday morning. Kind of surprising, really.

Shuffling down the hall, to the common room, she needed something to wake her up.

"You rock," Alex smiled, though still somewhat sleepy, and made her way over to where the coffee pot was. She poured herself a cup and took a sip.

Now, that was better.

"Nice," Alex grinned, approving highly of that. "I'm Alex, one of the newbies."

"Nice to meet you, Zack," Alex nodded. "Yep. Got in yesterday."

After managing to get both the cereal (which wasn't too heavy) and a bowl (which was more of a challenge) over to a table, Robin began the truly adventurous part. Getting the milk to the table, into the bowl, and back to the refrigerator without making a huge mess.

And not for the first time, he vowed to go and buy those little milk bottles to make this easier.

"Hi!" he waved to Alex before hopping up to the handle of the fridge door.

"Uh, hi," Alex waved back, a tiny bit startled.

There was a talking frog in the common room. Okay, granted, it wasn't one of the weirdest things she'd seen. She'd animated her brother's zit, for one. "Do you need some help?"

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2008-01-06 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes please." he said gratefully. He usually managed okay, but it was always nice to have assistance. "I keep meaning to go and buy some of those small bottles. Would you like some cereal too?"

Alex smiled and moved over to the fridge, helping him to put things away. "I'm sure they'd be easier to handle, right?" She didn't mean anything by that, she was just being honest. "Oh, thank you but I'm okay for now." Alex still had some coffee left and she was good with that.

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2008-01-06 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes they would." he agreed. "Sometimes I forget that I'm so small. I'm Robin by the way. Pleased to meet you."

[identity profile] stylin-wizard.livejournal.com 2008-01-06 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
"It's nice to meet you too, Robin," she replied. "I'm Alex."

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2008-01-06 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Robin ate a spoonfull of the sugary cereal and then swallowed. "So where are you from Alex?"

[identity profile] stylin-wizard.livejournal.com 2008-01-06 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm from New York, 2008," Alex answered, figuring she should add on the year just to be safe. "How about you?"

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2008-01-06 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
"I'm florida, in the early 80's, but I spend a lot of time in LA."

[identity profile] stylin-wizard.livejournal.com 2008-01-06 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, I've always wanted to visit LA," Alex admitted. It would never mean as much to her as New York, of that she was certain. But still, it'd be nice to just check the city out.

Neville had a question he needed the answer to, and he needed it quickly. He stumbled into the nearest place with people and looked around wildly (and confusedly). "What day is it? No, what date is it?"

It was not, he was sure, October.

[identity profile] future-champion.livejournal.com 2008-01-05 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Neville stared at him. "...What year?"

[identity profile] future-champion.livejournal.com 2008-01-05 06:57 pm (UTC)(link)
That wasn't so bad. It was In The Future, but only a year more than before his grandmother had told him to come back. He still didn't know where November and December had gone though. He hadn't been stuck inside that giant venus flytrap that long, had he?

"Oh." Neville sat down on the sofa. "Um. Happy New Year?"

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2008-01-06 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Robin understood the confusion. Time was wonky here. "Hi, you're Neville right?"

[identity profile] robinthefrog.livejournal.com 2008-01-06 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
Robin woke requiring coco krispies. It wasn't just the cereal. It was the adventure of getting them. Since it required a lot of hopping and carrying things bigger than he was.

"Good morning!" he chirped.
