The Dorm Lawn, Friday Morning

[intraspective]

There was snow. Ino didn't have any classes today.

Together this meant that, clearly, it was a day to play in the snow. And this time she was properly bundled up and wearing the hat and scarf Annette had given her for Christmas. At the moment Ino was entertaining herself by making snowballs and stockpiling them.

The first person she saw was totally getting a snowball lobbed at them.

[Open! So very open!]

"Most people aren't us," Jen said, her eyes sparkling mischievously.

[intraspective]

"This is probably a good thing," she observed, flinging another snowball. "I'm not sure the world could withstand more than one of us all at once."

"And yet --" Jen ducked the snowball, but her ponytail flew up and clipped it, resulting in a good chunk of snow mixed into her hair. "Here we all are, at this school."

"Well," Ino said, grinning, "this place is pretty special."

"I'm really starting to believe that, yeah," Jen mused, glancing around.
