The gym, Thursday afternoon

There wasn't any specific reason Jaina had for going to down to the gym. She had no frustrations or emo to work out. She just thought she needed the practice. Her lightsaber skills needed some work, so maybe that was even more of a reason to come down here more often, so she could compensate if she had to.

She started out on the punching bag, paying close attention to her form and how she was hitting it, and probably wouldn't leave until she was satisfied with what she was doing.

"That makes me feel much better," he made a face at her. "Though it's probably a good idea."

"Just think of it as encouragement to step it up," she said with a smile.

"I'll make sure I wear padding next time," he grinned. "Then you won't have to feel guilty."

She grinned right back, asking, "Who says I feel guilty?" She did, a little. And she'd be checking for bruises if she did get him shirtless again, yes.

"No guilt?" he asked, feigning shock. "I think my feelings are hurt."

"You'll survive it," she assured him, patting his arm.

"At least I know you'll never hit me in the face," he teased, reaching out to pat her on the head.

"Oh, don't dare me to try," she said, and tried to swat his hand away.

He grinned and let his hand be swatted away. "I dare you." He was very stupid.

"Oh, John," she said. "That would just be mean of me."

"Because you'd have to jump really high?"

Without jumping, she was still able to reach up and lightly pat his face with her fingers, just showing that she could. Perhaps through the magic of Hollywood, or a box, but look, it's canon.

"You're like a monkey or something," John said, shaking his head.

"I am not!" she said, half-laughing as she hit him in the side, still way lighter than she probably should have.

"You have super-long arms," he point out through his own laughter. "It's not natural. Though, you are a 'visitor.'"

"I get the feeling you're looking to be my new punching bag," she said, eyebrows raised.

"I can think of worse occupations," John replied, still smiling.

"That's slightly twisted," she noted.

"I can think of better ones, too," he added.

"I should hope so," Jaina said. And curious what he'd come up with after calling her a monkey and such, she asked, "Such as?"

"Jockey?" he offered. "Pilot?"

"...Jockey?" she frowned.

If he could've, he might've hid at this point. "The short people who ride horses in races."

"Hitting you is going to get old at this rate," Jaina told him, hands on her hips.

"I'm sorry," he said sincerely. "Really. I like you all cute and short and ass-kicking."
