Third Floor Common Room - MorningishMidday
Liir'd been up since sunrise, as per usual, only today (as he had no class) he'd taken over the third floor common room's kitchen for a few things. He had cookies to make for Karal (he'd decided on a slightly modified version of Lurline's Tears to be festive for the holiday), treats for Miss Lulu (he'd found the recipe through that googly thing Professor Beaubier had shown him), some of the chocolate hazelnut cookies for Ino, and another batch of summer ice (this time with lemon and rosewater since Professor Ambrose obviously had no like for papay fruit for the moment) so that he could write down the recipe to give to Miss Lulu. In between all of the sugar, however, there was a pot of beef stew, made as he had at Kiamo Ko though with a few substitutions. Or possibly not. The names had been different but even just between Professor Ambrose's and his time there were differences in name for the same thing.
All in all, the common room probably smelled of sugar, strange fruits, and slowly cooking spiced beef.
Liir was rather pleased with himself.
[ooc: open as common rooms are with a variety of food and treats available]

"You're probably overheating after all that stew. Would you like some more, or will you fill the rest of the way with sugar?"

"I've already put most of the different bags away. I figured I'd leave that for anyone who came to the common room."

Hence, he would assume, the bottomless pit.

Which, at the rate he was going, would mean his body weight.

"Oh?"
He was curious, but he didn't want to pry.

"Date for the dance and all. You're going?"
Jack wasn't exactly known for playing cards close to the vest. Except for actual poker.

It was still wonderful to be able to say that.
"Andrew. He said I could."

"Excellent! How long have you been dating?" Jack wondered if he was dating Annette now, or if it was just a...a fling.

He had to qualify it, to be fair.
"We were just sort of dating before, though."

"Yes," he admitted. "Exactly."
